J10C will be equipped with more advanced radar equipment, the radar range will be greater than the previous J10 variants radar detection range and the ability to simultaneously track 12 targets. Its cockpit will be set up with more advanced domestic diffraction HUD. In addition J10C will be equipped with more advanced PL-13 remote air to air missiles. The installation of a laser-guided pod and also will have the ability to launch a variety of laser-guided bombs, to further improve the precision strike capability against ground targets.

J-10C made its maiden flight on 24 DEC 2013.

Rumor are it could be a Twin Engine Fighter.

Now our economy is stabilising.... Security situation is getting better etc etc...

J-11D is not that bad Either It has more range can use to Deep strike missions and to protect our Coast line (Naval Wing)
+ Load that it can carry + AESA radar +Range 3530 KM

It is Single Engine Jet... Twin Engine is just in pics ... nothing out there yet

Originally US offer f-18 instead of F-16 but at that time our priorities are different now we are looking for double engine heavy weight air superiority fighter and F-18 newer versions are great and I think if we have budget we should go for F-18.

I was talking about the past few years.. Heck most of the systems I quoted were produced or bought this recently.


As for Paks economy at birth... Pak was the poorest & the most backward region in South Asia... With only 2 disfunctioning mills (textile n jute) and 1 university... It was in the words of Indian leadership destined to crumble and would beg to join them... And they didn't leave any stone unturned to try to do so .. By blocking payment,share of military equipment etc.. And to this day India still owes us money...

There is no single engine doctrine.. In the past PAF has operated several twin engine fighters and bombers... The single engine jets are on service mostly due to the financial crisis Pak faced..

Highly doubtful ... Considering the JF program...

Idealistically and realistically they should procure 2-3 Sqds of heavy fighters... Apart from getting more F-16s... (Apart from the JF evolution).. And invest in a 5th gen fighter.. Which PAF is already looking into.

As i said we can use J-11D to protect Coastal area and as our sea boundaries increased by 50,000 Sq Km so we need jets that has more range and J-11D has 3525km range.. plus it can counter Indian Mig-29 Tejas and Harriers... plus it can strike deep into India with that range and load.... In case we didn't get Su-35

As per Chinese members it j-10 C and
J-10C is upgraded semi-stealth multi-role variant of J-10B with enhanced 4th generation electronics including a more powerful AESA radar, more composite material and a more powerful engine was under development. The J-10C took to the sky for the first time on Dec 31, 2013.
