What's new

More than 300 PAF Mirages & F-7s will be retired in future. A huge market indeed.

Whatever that has happened with the Tejas in the past is water under the bridge. When it does join IAF active service in numbers ... it will be a potent threat equipped with an AESA radar and good EW suite. Don't take it lightly.

IN CBG will not come close to pakistan coast... how many shorties can PAF make to bring down CBG... how many jets available to PN? there is no dedicated air wing for PN... but IN has there are 45 mig K. 2 Sq will be stationed on INS vickie... so when ever you are thinking about availability of jets for IN... you should think about PN too.... PAF can't afford to diversify it's fleet for Naval role in large numbers... there are still sam network on the carrier... you guys can make carrier useless with just words...

Navy thinks it can sink your Carrier with their LRMPAs alone but I would tend to disagree. It would be the PAF that would sink the carrier. We have dedicated squadrons in which pilots have been trained for maritime operations in rotation. As I mentioned IN carrier at any given point would be defended by at most 6 Migs. At 1:2 sweep and !:1 escort it would take a Squadron of AMRAAM equipped F-16s and half a squadron of exocet equipped mirages to sink the carrier. Its simple Maths. Still want to bring your carrier - Don't say I did not warn you.

LOLz you can feel whatever you want... if your navy thinks it can sunk an carrier with LRMPA am very much happy... I mean you want to say.. you can attack a carrier with one dedicated squadron.. so you meant to say.. PAF will scramble all the squadron at a time? how many anti ship missiles they are going to carry... In CBG will not be there anywhere close to your coast.. so all you want to say a Sq jets can bring down carrier but with Sam network on each ship in the CBG with 45 dedicated miss for naval role In can't defend it's carrier.. I admit your analysis... you should be in COAS.

PAKISTAN can build your own fighters like JF-17,why you put some aircrafts from other country.PAK is not India, pakistan can build jets.India buy jets.

The J-11D is not for export.

It has been explained thousands of times and yet people can't comprehend that simple fact. The J-11B/D/15/16 use a Russian-derived airframe, so as per China's agreement with Moscow, they won't be up for grabs (despite having completely Chinese subsystems and weapons).
it will, you see the chengdu aircraft is replacing the engines, that J-10C picture ,watch her ***.If you have the money, chengdu will sell you the jets. But now only PAF can have them

Hi,

It does not work that way----. JF 17 basically cannot target Mumbai---and that too with only 1 ALCM. If there is an air cversion and if it can carry a Bubur cruise missile----it can launch from that distance----but not other alcm's.

Only one YJ12 can be carried on the JF 17 and that also has a range of 250 km----.

Did you ever got beat up in school---or did anyone ever threaten you in school or did you ever beat up someone at school-----and what did you do.

Please note that range of YJ-12 is between 300-400kms and currently JFTs can not carry it.

Let me simplify. 2 Sqns of Migs means 6 defending at a time. 3:1 attacker ratio means 18 aircraft required to neutralize them. So as you said it is only useful if it stays out of ground aircraft range. What use is that?

Raad is both designed to undertake interdiction of command bunkers, HVTs, and sea targets using its seeker.

Many on PDF don't believe that RAAD can hit targets at sea specially Indian members while its officially said by ISPR. :)

I agree. It would be very foolish to underestimate the adversary. History is replete with mighty fighters being taken down by unsung little unknowns.

Due to export limitations---the range would be less----otherwise it is around 500 KM.

Then you can expect purchase upto 250 - 300km range version which can hit targets at higher ranges with lighter warhead ;) if Pakistan went for heavy jet or Chinese MPA.

I don't think JFT can carry it. Great thing is that it has 400km range Anti Radiation Missile version too.

no one talking all those jets will be up in the air at a time... but when kids think bringing down carrier with one or two antiship missile... and can attack Mumbai with just one jet... flew back safely...

Hi,

2 missiles won't sink a carrier-----but will damage it bad----.

One aircraft has a better chance of slipping thru than 5.

No-----. Export limitations are very tough---the max range won't be modified. you can make a copy of your own or manufacture your own----.

Jft will have one in the center.

you gonna need the H-6K.

Yes, but when it comes to China and Pakistan relations they can work around it when required. Check history. :)

We cannot afford it because it will be very easy target for IAF which enjoy numeric and quality edge currently over PAF.

J-11D is the right option for that role as it can defend it self against posed threats.
