Reportedly Lieutenant General Salman Fayyaz Ghani (Corps Commander Lahore) refused to give orders to open fire on Pakistani citizens on May 9, 2023. As a punishment of not shooting Pakistani citizens, he was sacked by GHQ. Reports are that he resigned in protest. His chief of staff, Brig Amir Kiyanai is also sacked/transferred to AG branch.

Gen. Malik Asim is now given provisional charge of Lahore Corps, may be because he has shown wiliness to repeat Operation Searchlight in Lahore.

This is reported by Moeed Pirzada and some army related twitter accounts.

Report by Moeed Pirzada.

Reportedly, orders were given by Corps Commander Gujranwala, Gen Aamer to shoot citizens of Pakistan. Which resulted in deaths at least 6 young Pakistanis who were protesting against political interference by Pakistani army. Many of them were sniper head shots.

Video below shows Head Shots on the orders of Corps Commander Gujranwala (don't play the video if you cannot stomach graphic content):

@Signalian Atleast give a hint of the situation
Wait and watch 😉

PDF members analyse things according to their own perceptions, but that’s alright. The real reasons could be different, even if result is the same.

Why was Corps Comd residence vacant. This isn’t a norm on postings also. Usually one of the HQ staff officers are present in Corps Comds residence, even if it’s vacated during posting orders.

You guys can speculate, but all the reading that I did in that thread of 100s of pages, only Rescue Ranger told what was 99% near reality, rest was hogwash.

Commander F.C KPK, Salahuddin is also sacked for not ordering to shoot Pakistani citizens.
It seems that giving orders to shoot civilians is now a minimum requirement to retain your jab as a Corps commander in Pakistan army.

Commander FC KPK is a Maseed from Waziristan. @villageidiot @Areesh

Turns out what I said about people of Waziristan being the most ghairatmand was true 😁
