Kerala would be nothing without the following communities...

Nampoothiri,Nair,Nasrani,Ezhava,Pulaya,paraya,Viswakarma,Malabar Mappila(Muslim),malabar Jew,latin and CSI christian,Nadar,Goan Brahmins,Vanavaasi,immigrant gujaratis,Pardesi Jew..did I miss out any one??.............

I thought tamil iyers(pattar) contributed significantly to Trivandrum culture.

There is considerable controversy regarding the actual place of Nairs in the caste system. It is understandably, a very touchy subject. One of the main reasons is that the caste system in Kerala is very different from the caste system elsewhere in India. According to the caste system followed in the rest of India, only the lowest class, the sudras, were considered to be "untouchables". However, in the case of Kerala, anyone who was not a Namboothiri, was treated by the Namboothiris as an untouchable. The Namboothiris had different rules regarding the degrees of pollution for the different classes. A Namboothiri could only be "polluted" by the touch of a Nair, whereas the other classes had different distances after which they could be considered polluting. For example, if an Ezhava got within 24 feet of a Namboothiri, the Namboothiri was considered to be polluted. In this regard, it would seem that the Nairs were like the sudras in the rest of India.

Illathu Nair Dependent of a Brahmin Illam (house).
Swaroopathil Nair Dependent of a swaroopam (Kshathriya Home). Also known as Chartha Nair.
Menokki Those who supervises.
Pattola Nair An accountant. One who writes kingly orders and keep accounts.
Marar Marayan. One who beats drums in temple.
Padamangalam Nair Servants of temples.
Pallichan Nair Those who carries Pallichumadu or Manchal
Chembotti Nair Copper worker.
Edachery Nair Idassery Nair.
Odathu Nair Bronze worker.
Vattakkathu Nair One who extracts oil.
Anthur Nair Maker of bells.
Asthikurrissi (Athikurichi) One who performs rituals in the funeral of Nairs. Also known as Seethikan.
Vyapari Nair Merchant
Vilakkithala Nair Barber
Veluthedathu Nair Dhobi.

In short Nairs are eligible for reservation.

If we are to believe the 'Satyameva Jayathe' by Aamir Khan, its seen that all religions in India practices caste system, but Hindus being the largest community faces the brunt of the criticism.

1. Inflow of labour from other parts of India and mainly from Bangladesh our politicians will do what ever is needed to enroll them in election and votebank this will change the current % of each religion and cast in Kerala

2. Even though Muslims & a certain sections of christians are getting reservations and other incentives from government the % of total population of these 2 religious minorities has over taken the % of population of the majority community

3. The living style of religious minorities especially Muslims they concentrate to leave together in 1 district or 1 panchayat etc , this will give them power to send their community people to the legislative assembly and inturn to get deciding power

Kerala is one of the prosperous states in India. They have excellent infrastructure (as compared to other states). I love Kerala and its culture, food, habitats. Only drawback is, the chinese party (communists) and khaangress have turned a blind eye towards muslim terrorism which has given raise to simi and other terrorist organizations.
