what amazes me is that Hina R. Khar of PPP had the good judgement to visit Kashmiri nationalists - even while in hindustan....whereas this Nawaz Sharif (who himself is of Kashmiri ancestry) didnt have the pride to do that.

Hina Rabbani Khar breached protocol. While I believe India should've put her on the very next flight to Pakistan, she's a nobody in the larger scheme of things. Whereas Nawaz Sharif is the premier of Pakistan. His movements would've been thoroughly vetted by Indian authorities. There simply was no chance they were going to let him slip away and meet Kashmiri separatists. There's no incentive for India to allow it anymore in future as well.
