I'm not sure about Jammersat's joke either but I was a tour guide in that museum as part of ancillary
duties during my formation.

No, more than two lines of course but the rest is uninteresting in this thread.
Plus it talks about us Cavalry Commandos / Portés Roues being chick magnets later in the song
because we carry more thunder than storms do ...which I think is not proper stuff for PDF.

That image is from the repository of pictorial memories called
Les Très Riches Heures du Duc De Berry. It's on display in Chantilly castle.

The helmet on azur field is the chest identifier for the ABC application school
and the circular one is the "generic" Cavalry's beret insignia.
When you finish classes in Saumur, the chest one is replaced by a regimental
version such as this one from another place where I served :

There's also a promotion / graduation class insignia that I won't show for privacy reasons.

All Cavalry insignias are silver colour based, in contrast to standard gold of the Army ...
... because we're special!

They occupy the ground, we sweep over it!
