Jack Ma Confirmed as Chinese Communist Party Member

40 years ago, Deng Xiao Ping decided that Soviet Union style communism did not fit in well in China. He opened up China amid extreme strong opposition from many high ranking party members. To overcome these oppositions he and fellow supporters selected a sleepy fishing village in Shenzhen as an experiment and an eye opener to those who opposed his desire to change China. The rest is history we are all aware of.

It was decided that it is impossible for everyone to share the wealth equally at the same time, so the plan was to let a small group of people becoming rich, and with their entrepreneurship help China's economy to grow. The first batch of businessmen injecting capital were mainly from overseas Chinese from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South East Asia and the rest of the world. This era was 1980s to 1990s.

After the economy grow to a certain sustainable level, a large group of middle/ lower middle income population called 小康之家 will begin to take a share of the national economy, there was an explosion of people beginning to join small business start-ups, and some of them succeeded become rich. This era belongs to 2000 to 2010. And Jack Ma is one of them. I still remember the old slogan "Getting Rich is Glorious".

Third phase of the Chinese communist party long term planning was to let the lower middle income group to share even more of the national wealth, which is present day China.

The old communist doctrine of everyone being equal in status and income doesn't work, even in Lenin's time. The reformed Chinese Communist doctrine is different from Soviet, and present day China is the proof.

And there is nothing wrong or surprise that Jack Ma is a communist. I will be more surprise if Trump is not a Republican!

Dengxiaoping was a genius, When China was at the bottom of abyss in economy which was one of the worst in the world back then, people couldn't see even a glimmer of hope in total darkness, despairs and pessimism overwhelmed the whole nation, Deng single handedly found a way out and led China out of darkness and on a path to national strength and prosperity, if not for him, China could still be in that predicament even today, moving from pillar to pillar.

In fact, the 'reform and opening up' policy was closely related to peace with Japan and the development aid that Tokyo started providing to China in 1979.

Two months before the launch of his new economic policy, which came at the end of 1978, Deng visited Japan to finalize the peace and friendship treaty. He rode one of the famed shinkansen bullet trains and marveled at its comfort and speed. "This is fast!" he remarked.

China had been closed to the outside world following the 1966-1976 Cultural Revolution. For the new era, Deng chose Japan as China's gateway to the wider Western world. He asked for Japanese loans to help develop China's still-poor economic infrastructure

That's like someone sold you a carton of milk but when you open it there is urine inside and the person who sold it to you tells you: "just because the label says milk doesn't mean it is milk". o_O

If someone calls themselves Communist but is a devout capitalist in practice then this person is a hypocrite, liar and fraud. But that is to be expected from an ideology like Communism. It is a farce for hypocrites to operate under without any restraint for their own selfish gains.

In Communism some are more equal than others.

Communism has its shortfalls, but compared to capitalism and western style democracy, the society is much more equal, basic needs like education and health care are guaranteed, people live more human to each other, radicalism (racism, religious radicals) are refrained and barbarian practices are eliminated.

Capitalism can provide better competitive environment for economy development, but aside from that, most other aspects are poor.

Democracy, western style, can be disastrous to poor countries (and even rich countries if applied for long time), because it can destroy moral grounds and disciplines of a society.

Therefore, I would prefer a society of combination between capitalism and communism.

Really? Then why do so many Viets want to be like the West? Do not deny it. We came from the same country. I just happened to be older than you and know more.

Marxism have proven to be a failure of global proportion. If it was so attractive, it would have been the West that collapsed. Instead, what have Marxism done for VN? Health care is guaranteed? You are confused between health care and medical care. A witch doctor would qualify as 'health care' as long as you follow his directions. But if you have cancer, then it is medical care, as in treatment of an existing and on-going problem.

Health care is you and how you live your daily life. Medical care is the physician, the hospital, the research, the experiments, the manufacturers of medicines and machines that treats you. When you break a bone, that medical care. Not health care. No Americans floated from Florida to Cuba for the better 'health care'.

Of the medical technology in the world, most came from the West where capitalism produced something like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was invented in the US.

Therefore, I would prefer a society of combination between capitalism and communism.
Let the world know when that occur.

then do u know why US must slap tarriff on CN ? cos US ppl r too stupid and lazy to make a good product at low price now. IPhone is dead if manufacturing in US as US workers r lazy but asking too high salary.

Tks God that PLA is too stupid and coward to fight in real war, so Trump still has a chance to win this war.Otherwhile, capitalist USA will collapse cos its ppl can not make any good and cheap products now

They do no like West, they like their money.

Where the west money comes from, firstly, rob the weak country and colonization and then tech innovation.Very simple.
If you are rich, even your dog can have private doctor .

2)A man earns 60000 USD and a man earns 250 USD or 2000 USD per year are really live in different world or even different univers.

People tends to like to be rich!

I agree that Xiaoping sold China out, and greatly reduced China's global influence, but Vietnam also sold out, and Vietnam may have sold out to a larger degree than the Deng dynasty. The "online community" always talk about the accomplishments, but they stay away from talking about the bad things Xiaoping has brought to China. Even Chinese on the far right will agree that people had much better moral values in 1966 than they do today. In 1966, Chinese people were honest. Today, it is common place for taxi drivers to rig their meters, and use fake notes. That's why Chinese always check for counterfit bills. If Xiaoping wants to take credit for the "economic miracle", then shouldn't he take credit for the decadence that arose after 78 too?

As far as China closing off the world in 1966, that is another lie that has been repeated many times. In 1966, and the years surrounding it, China was heavily involved with cultural exchanges, however, mostly with other socialist countries like Albania, and Romania. China was the training ground and mecca for revolutionaries around the world, particularly the 3world. China's training centers rivaled that of today's Ft Benning. Hundreds and thousands of successful African revolutionaries trained in China and effectively challenged western hegemony. Ho Chi Min was trained and educated in China. Also received most of his support from China. In fact, Ho adopted his name in China. If you asked workers around the 3 world in 1966 what they thought about China, they would have said, China will become the leader of the 3 world. No one would say that if China was "closed off". The reality of it is, China was actively engaged with workers, and peasants all over the world, and maintained a bigger network that rivaled the ClA, and KGB. The prolateriat of the world was in 1966, optimistic about China. China's propaganda in 1966 was largely more effective, and influential than today's ClA psyops are, despite the lack of technology during that era. Workers across the world were able to quote Mao. Today, most people do not expect China to lead the world, and workers do not look to China for inspiration anymore. China's influence was so effective that it caught the attention of western imperialists, which led to the unpopular US led invasion on Vietnam. Today's China has distanced itself from the masses, followed by an increase in western propaganda. The result is a negative reputation of China.

Comunist China had visa free access to East Germany, and vice versa.
However, capitalist China has no visa free access to today's Germany. China was also very involved with the highly successful global people's war that spanned from America to Indonesia, and back again. China had a huge network of revolutionaries all across the world, and way more allies than China has today. At that time, China could have called upon its army of supporters to do regime changes at just about most points on the globe, something China can't do today. I use this example over and over, but China called upon revolutionaries in Hong Kong to challenge British imperialism in 1967. However, today's China has no grasp of HK, despite HK being nominally a part of the PRC, and you are more likely to find western NGOs backing street mobs against the Chinese central gov.

I actually think that Xiaoping followed the Soviet model. They often call Liu Shaoqi the Kruschev of China, but I think Xiaoping is the Kruschev of China, because Shaoqi, although a revisionist, was never actually the leader of China. A lot of things about China is similar to the late era of the USSR, especially how China was unable to handle the 2014 riots in HK. China also recently went through a series of purges, similar to what Gorbachev did just before 91. The only question is, who is the Gorbachev of China? And will it be Xi? What most people don't understand is that the USSR departed comunism as early as 1953, and began revisionism immediately there after. Some of the old Chinese will remember the term suxiu. From the time Kruschev seized power to the time the USSR collapsed was 38 years. 38 years is very close to the 40 years that China began its revisionism. So far, Chinese revisionism has lasted 2 more years than Soviet revisionism.

Welcome to continue to discuss about China's economic model. In this regard, China is also in the process of exploration, because nothing in the world remains unchanged, and everything will change with The Times.

Your disinformation about everyone being equal in status and income is false. Under Chinese comunism, and indeed most comunism, not everyone is equal. In fact, the bourgeoisie are placed at the bottom almost every time. Intellectuals, and artists also have low status, however, it is the workers who have the high status. Factory workers were paid more than goverment officials. That's a fact, and no one who has lived under comunism will fall for such disinformation that those who don't work have equal status to those working in the fields. That simply isn't true. Youngsters were told to learn from farmers, and farmers were given a level of prestige that is non existant under capitalism. Lazy people had no prestige whatsoever in comunism. Comunist China valued those who worked with their hands, and despised lazy people. This is why lazy people, and parasites hated comunism so much, because these lazy people wanted something for nothing, and that was only something they could get after Xiaoping's reforms, which is why they all praise Xiaoping today.

Thats true.everyone admired CN in 60s even when CN was so poor. US also so scared when seeing communist bloc became so big wt Soviet and CN willing to bring US down.

Mao made CN look great when Deng make CN look like US-JP's slave again. Soviet collapse due to Deng support US to destroy communist bloc and the consequence is that CN is US's target now. With just few tarriff from Trump, CN ecomomy is falling so fast and has to bow down and beg for negotiation wt Trump.

Soviet helped Mao to defeat Chiang Kia sek who got US'support. But Deng make Soviet die, so No one can save CN when US slap sanction on CN now and CN soon will fall into chaos (in 2023) due to US sanction.

CN will not collapse because of US sanctions. It will collapse because of poor leadership; bad decisions; unwillingness to challenge adversaries; their pro western policies, pro western leadership; and the inaction of the masses, just like the USSR. Indeed the sanctions against CN were much worse in 1966, CN survived because they were a united country with principles, and vision, guided by comunism. In 1966, the pro western cadres were marginalized by the cultural revolution, but starting in 1976, the pro western cadres made a vicious comeback, wiping out all the good leaders. Fast fwd to today. CN is a fragmented country with no goals, other than to make money, unaware of the abyss that awaits them. It's precisely Xiaoping's black & white cat policy that has wrecked CN, and empowered the west. The Chinese people will pay for their capitalism with Chinese characteristics with their country. Indeed Xiaoping's support for the US against the USSR was part of a series of mistakes that came back to haunt future leaders of the Deng dynasty. Let's not forget it was also the genius Xiaoping who thought it was a good idea to invade Vietnam, turning them from an ally into an enemy.

In the 60s, CN supported countries that supported CN. Indeed countries admired CN because CN respected them, but starting in the late 70s, CN turned its back on the 3world. That's when things started to go wrong real fast. CN began supporting countries that were anti Chinese like Europe, Canada, Australia. How could you possibly go wrong with supporting countries that are openly trying to subvert you? Even when CN kowtowed to the west, the west remained hostile against CN. In fact, only 11 years after Xiaoping's adventurism, the west tried to dispose of him. If you remember that Tienamen "masacre", but even after the 89 stunt, Xiaoping still thought it was a good idea to accomodate the west . What a genius he was indeed.
