Sri Lanka defaulted, they didn't have anything, so the government imposes emergency so that they can focus on the important things.

In Pakistan, the situation is completely different. We are in no such situation for now.

Academically you are right, emergency and martial law are different things, in Pakistan, during Musharraf and now, they are practically the same.

There are legal Emergency provisions built into our constitution including for Financial Emergencies.

My understanding is that Governments can declare emergency while Martial Law would mean Military is taking over as the government.

We can save billions of dollars

Its time of united government of all political parties PTI should be banned it's not a political party only PDM is.

We need to make 13 provicnes of Pakistan and declaring each party head as administrator of that part till economy improves to level of atleast USA: 20yrs, so we can become a superpower like USA.

I THINK ANP should only get charsadda since their party is very small. Peshawar should go to mualana. KARACHI MQM, Sindh PPPP and Punjab PMLN. aleem dar can get the heera mundi since he leads a small faction in Lahore. We already have administrative people here. Mualana son, juanid sahab, babulo shahab of ANP Can take over after 20 years if we can't achieve it (or sooner if maulana sahab dies of obesity)

We can dole out 100 billion on fuel subsidy, PSDP of 4000 billion is in full effect, MNA's are given 250 billion for their own constituencies, 150 billion is going to be spent on that new youth scheme (read bribe), our foreign minister is going on every conference being held on this planet, and yet we do not have 35 billion for elections and are in an emergency?

Also, the president has to declare emergency, and salaries of government officers also have to be reduced.

SC can't do anything if the institutions that implement its orders start ignoring them.

Suppose if tomorrow, SC says that EC has abrogated the constitution, and asks the authorities to put CEC in jail, but authorities challenge the ruling and brings their own interpretation of the constitution, SC will effectively become useless. Their cries and judgements will hold zero value when it comes to their implementation.

In this case as well, whether SC says that EC should hold the elections on 30 Apr, and EC says that it is not bound to obey SC's orders (Irfan Qadir has hinted about this by the way), and other institutions (including police, army etc) start saying that EC is right, nothing can be done.

Same happened in 1997, when the then Army Chief refused to provide security to the Supreme Court of Pakistan despite clear constitutional requirements. In the end, chief justice (along with a few others) had to resign.

Agreed, SC does not have power to force executive order, we are a medieval society anyway. However, once SC issues an order it is written in stone, cannot be annulled by any amount of force.
Does not matter how powerful is military Inc, they need legitimacy, they can only use coercion and blackmail.

Caretakers govt can't operate > 90 days. SC may restore Punjab and KPK and charge Hunchback of Jati umra for contempt, then No power on earth can save him.

There's a chance this happens, but they'd still need to deal with the ECP and government refusing to hold elections. It would set a dangerous precedent as they could forever delay elections if the SC does not put a stop to it immediately.

SC has moral authority if they decide to uphold the constitution. AND NO POWER ON EARTH CAN PUT A STOPPER TO SC DECREE.
Army can only reverse/stop it using overt martial law. Chaos is Good.
