My friend , ISIL launched attacks from different sides at the same time .

Their tactics is simple , They first send a couple of suicide attacks with very heavy explosives and then start attacking with thousands of fighters .

With this tactic they brought Al Qaeda to knees .

Their main advantage is man power mentioning that Syria Air force is not in a good shape in these days and can't cover infantry against huge numbers of ISIL fighters .

If they had better planes and copters with better equipments , ISIL would have lost much more troops .

I'm not buying that, you're in your own ground defending, they're attacking! You are sitting in a big-*** base full of weapons! Its difficult capturing a proper border post, let alone a base of this proportion.

Number matters here . add attacking at nights ( mostly ) , and low morale .

500 soldiers can't hold against thousands and they'll eventually fail . Remember they are not US army soldiers with the best equipments and reliable air support , They are several hundred ordinary soldiers with no support from outside rather than a couple of barrels which can't even stop ISIL from advancing .
