Iranian dispora worth more than $1,2 Trillion dollars

It seems, like Jews,Iranians are too good with money :D

That's really huge,%1.2 trillions, unbelievable.

Probably the reason for animosity towards Jews! its a "who wants to be trillionaire" game!

.
If Iran can play diplomatically well and get ride of sanctions than her natural & human resources are enough to surpass many oil rich countries within short time but that need drastic changes in local & international level policies. Money of Iranians and other will flow-in automatically when there are safe opportunities to invest.

.
I'm part of this diaspora too, but just like Abii I would not invest in Iran if there is no change in policy or regime. Iranians are together with the Chinese the most educated immigrant group here in Holland, and in the rest of the world, and Iran could benefit a lot of all this money and knowledge if they would appreciated our existence. But unfortunately the Iranian regime is more worrying about their life expectancy, which would be questioned by a large group of modern and secular-minded Iranians, so I don't see things changing the coming years. Hundred of thousands of Iranians are waiting to come home.

.
$500,000? Didn't you say you was going to some place in Canada in other thread, what job you do?

That's right.

I'm moving in February. I will be working in non-destructive testing. If I get a job in Northern Alberta I'll make at the very least 100K a year. If I work in Calgary or Edmonton the wages will be lower.

So why was there a revolution if you guys and so many here hate them, would have stayed if most people wanted it probably.

First of all, the revolution wasn't entirely Islamic. You had communists, feminists and liberalists taking part in too. The mullahs only hijacked this revolution, and even promised more liberalism and feminism, while they never met these promises.

The revolution was a popular revolt against the regime of the shah, the islamists stole the revolution pretty much (Iran back then was a backward country so it was easy for them).

In any case 75% of Iran's current population was born after the revolution. We weren't part of this insanity. Every single Iranian poster in this forum was born after, most in the 80's and 90's.

But at the moment you think very high percentage still support current regime?

While I have many problems with current establishment too,but I appreciate it for somethings they did.
One of them is turning Iran's population from an illiterate one to an almost fully educated modern society,by giving chances of free education to all people. In Shah's time,I think only 50% of population were literate, but now,it's more than 93% and will reach 100% in coming years.
As you may know, many Iranians now have some kind of obsession in academic and graduate studies in university. That's why we have so much university students.

No, not at all. Most people want changes. They don't like to be seen in the world as backward terrorists, or seeing their government spending money in Lebanon or Gaza, while millions of Iranians have difficulties to earn a living. The generation-gap has become too large. Our norms and values have become different.
