I think your the only who supposedly thinks it’s a different model, yasin is a nice trainer not going to “revolutionize” aviation but if they build 12 to 24 could train pilots for the future.

look at the right side column it is bended toward the outside of the picture . and the horizontal iron structure of the building at top of the picture is bent toward ground .
that point to ultrawide photo, let put another challenge for you find another such stretched photo of Yasin if you can .

you can see how credible it is they take a photo of News on TV from 2nd channel that only broadcast in 4:3 format and then changed aspect ratio on a wide TV to 16:9 or 16:10 then cropped the lower black border of it and then claimed the stretched photo is a new version of Yasin

There is only ONE YASIN trainer .The stretched photo was two years ago when PROTOTYPE 1 came out of the hanger to start flight tests (hence no paint )... The white painted one is the same prototype 1 and seems like has gone through most of the tests .

NOW they have to make a decision: do we go to pre-production (few more units may be 6 ) or do we retire the program and do something else...

If it was up to me I will continue with the program ..remember this is the first 100% Iranian fuselage design (unlike kowsar that uses F5 fuselage design with some modifications)... at around 6-8 million dollars (The figure I heard before ) I would turn this into an "export" jet trainer (no license issue with US) ..many African and South American countries with limited $$$ would be very interested. The Cheapest jet Trainer is around $12 million so YASIN will be a good export door opener for Iran.

or mig-29s maybe more agile and more maneuverable than many other of our jet aircraft, but unless we do something about their radars they are threat to no one . and they are limited in number and probably there is no way to add to their numbers . this simulator is good for training our pilot , but I don't see the mig-29 fleet useful in air to air role , unless somehow enemy opt not to use its BVR missiles
oh and they really need add F-16 to the programing
