Like I said twice. It's not worth buying f-16s without a subsidy at this point. Buying 8 of them won't make a difference. No need to waste extra money for something meaningless. It's not like we direly need them. We've bought other defence equipment more expensive than f-16s recently. Your logic is flawed. Many Other countries have backed out of defence deals too. Doesn't mean they don't have any money.

What I said was a lot of Strategic Russian technology is not even with Chinese.

Have you not heard of the Chinese black army?
After USA, chinese are at best at Hacking, they already have data for majority of Russian tech, India tech, and some american tech. Also they are in process of buying def tech companies in Europe so sooner or later they will have the tech.

Since you point out that 'WE WANT F16' and telling that pakistan bought expensive defence equipment then why pakistan buying 'expensive' one rather also buying a defensive equipment worth to its cost !

We expected expected a cheap price but they backed out of the deal. Lol. They're the ones offered it. Who could pass up a good deal? F-16 is an old plane. We're buying new defence equipment that will actually make a difference.

In reality pakistan defense budget to airforce comes only 1.64 billion dollar a year, which you have to cover salary,maintenance of existing fighter jet and many other expenses. So how can you buy new defense equipments for air force ?

each aircraft will be $80-100 million. That is 5-6% of air force budget
unless the budget sky rockets up I do not see the PAF acquiring the Su-35

Means you people expect that US will sell 8 f16 planes for 270 million dollar, means 1 f16 fighter cost just 33.75 million dollar, come on man this is not a toy to get that amount neither may not cover its production cost.So if you are desperate to get these planes and have money then why you don't negotiate them for at least 50 million dollar/pc and not telling that we will back out if no subsidy.

So you expect to get an f16 on 33.75 million dollar/pc with some other country and which country and what model and fighter jet you expect to get with this amount,since you secretary already told that they will buy from some one else..

8 F-16 blk52C/D costs $87.5 million/pc without subsidy.
8 F-16 blk52 C/D costs $33.7 million/pc with subsidy as proposed by Obama Administration.

used F-16 with MLU(technology of blk 52 in older versions) costs between $25-30 million/pc.

now tell me which is more economical and logical to follow.

Procurement are made by other special funds which govt releases apart from defence budget.
like the recent procurement of 8 Yuan class submarine by PN which costs around $4-5 billion. where as PN annual defence budget is around $900 million,

They will have the tech but you will not.

Because Chinese do industrial espionage to boost their business. Why would China give the technology to Pakistan? They will maximum involve you in joint venture where you will do some low level technical accomplishment. Core tech will remain with the company.

This is business!!

*Endia is not an enemy of China but it's in their interest to support Pakistan to balance the power in South Asia.

*Russia will continue to sell defence equipment to China, even though Endia has heavily invested in Russian defence.
