Indian CBG to have 7 Escorts

Behind the China Missile Hype | The Diplomat

This is a good article on the hype of such missiles.

The thing to keep in mind is that, in order for China to successfully attack a U.S. navy ship with a ballistic missile, it must first detect the ship, identify it as a U.S. warship of a type that it wishes to attack (e.g., an aircraft carrier), acquire a precise enough measurement of its location that a missile can be launched at it (i.e., a one-hour old satellite photograph is probably useless, as the ship could be 25 miles away from where it was when the picture was taken), and then provide mid-course updates to the missile. Finally, the warhead must lock onto and home in on the ship.

.
This all depends if one can get a chance to hit the carrier in the first place, the anti-ship missile u speak of which China has is much over hyped all the carrier needs to do is track the missile using satellite and move out the way of the incoming threat.

Does India have anything of this sort or are you make believing, like make believing Indians. Please lets talk reality here.

We are not talking about USA. We are talking about India. in any case, even the USN spokesperson and Pentagon have indicated operational presence of such a system. but you should be worried about India.

no matter how many super-carriers or hyper-carriers your big daddy brings near Adaman ... they are dead meat ... onslaught of Pak-Fas, MKIs, Rafale armed with brahmos/hyper sonic brahmos .. will brings your any sea ferrying country to its knees ... Shauryas based on Andamans will make short work of Plan ...

And what will be left of the Andaman's after China launches hundreds of cruise and ballistics missiles at it as the carriers enter the IOR?

btw, these supercarriers will be carrying stealth jets so MKIs and Rafales will drop like flies if they
attempt to go against the carrier group.

.
Lambok, Sunda in Indonesia or go around Indonesia. They can enter IOR unless USN challenge them. And why would USN challenge them if they are going against India - unless we are talking world war. Regarding blocking Andamans, please read my post above.

Secondly, PLAN carriers when built offcourse, can use Hambantota and Gawadar. They may in any case, move into IOR before declaration of any war between India and China.

talk logically ... you are just too blinded by hate with India that you can not even see the obvious ... India can effectively mine all the choke points in case of war ... but India does'nt have to bother mining ... Andaman provides India reach beyond Malacca ... a few batteries of Shauryas/Brahmos will sink every think moving near sea lanes... and these Sahuryas/Brahmos will be positioned in an UNSINKABLE and VERY LARGE carrier called Andaman ...

As usual, another bangladeshi makes up fantasies about glorious china for tonight's wet dreams. Dude, stop trolling. Or if it makes you happy, yea China will launch hundreds of missiles, the whole evil india will be destroyed, and bangladesh and china will together rule the world. Or whatever.

too BAD no matter how many cruise/ballistic missiles China sends it cant sink the Andaman ... unless it wants to go nuclear .. which will lead to demise of Asia ...

and if your talking about stealth jets you should know ... India will be having the same capability with bases near to battle zone...

Mine within Indonesian waters - wow. Sir you need some sleep.

Andaman can be bypassed and unfortunately, this large Andaman aircraft carrier is static.

No argument there I see.

Indians are talking about future Indian carriers so let us talk about future Chinese carriers.

Indians just want people to blindly accept that they will rule over the PLAN in the IOR but they cannot use any logical arguments apart from the fact that they have the Andaman Islands.

This island will likely be blown to bits by the Chinese missiles in the first few hours of war anyway so it is irrelevant in the military picture anyway. A carrier can move whereas an Island is a fixed sitting duck.

China could, if it wanted to, rain thousand of missiles at this target if it so chooses.

Anyway it is time for me to go to bed and so Indians can enjoy more fantasies about dominating the IOR as far as I care for now.

It is no secret China has developed such missiles but my point was it is not as simple as you making out, you think the 'AC' is not protected with assets around it? such as the Aegis Combat System that the US has on it's destroyers to guard it.

India will also be adopting such a system for our Project-17A stealth frigates in the future, I think the best way to target a AC in my view is with subs.

and what will India be doing ... ohh so you think India wont be returning the favor ... and yaa thr is a big difference on the one hand Indian missiles will be raining over... man made vassals and chinese missile will be eating the dust of Andaman ... and no matter how hard you try you cant take out an Island for God's sake... use some reason...

No arguments in my post, because your post had nothing but wild fantasies. If your argument is something as childish as "hundreds of missiles will destroy everything", what argument can anyone put up? Maybe I could have politely pointed out that that's not how real wars happen, and that real wars are different from youtube videos and hollywood films. Maybe I could have pointed out that no country has the industrial capability (let alone tactical) to launch thousands of missiles at one target. Missiles don't grow on trees. But then I didn't want to interfere with your wet dreams. Since its time for you to sleep, enjoy your fantasies.

Sir, we are not talking about USA. We are discussing IN, PLAN and PN. These three countries are nuclear powers and the equation as such changes when we talk about any kind of war in such environment, land, air or naval. We should not detach ourselves from the existing environment.

You are again talking about, what India may have in future without giving any time-frame. Stealth or otherwise, anti-ship ballistic missiles are a potent threat. Yes subs are also potent defence against an AC - PLAN have close to 70, how many does IN have.

.
what for example. please name a few.

Wikimapia - Let's describe the whole world!

check out the snap ...

FGFA/MKI/Rafale armed with Hypersonic/Supersonic cruise missiles ... can effectively patrol South China Sea ...
India wont have to bother using her surface fleet or Andaman based missile batteries to confront china..

this is the point ... no matter how many vassals you bring close to Malacca to enter Indian ocean... shallow waters of Malacca with a very small area of coverage will give Indians an unfair advantage on any adversary ...
