India starts 'visa on arrival' facility for Pakistani senior citizens

Wonder why anyone in their right mind would want to travel to Pakistan, where bomb blasts & militant attacks happens every single day :coffee:

 funny but the situation is sad that no one in their right mind want to travel to Pakistan due to BOMB blasts indeed but at the same time no one in their right mind want to travel to peace-time India due to rapes.

irony of fate?

icewolf will never change read post number #6... he intelligently said Insians replaced "d" with "s"...

I bet icewolf if you want us, talk in same way.... no problem we can do better way...

-Wonder why anyone in their right mind would want to travel to India, but great news.It opens up a area of communication between Pakistan and Hindustan

Insians would have to be major assholes to decline a visa to a old person?

Going by this logic and seeing the long list of Pakistanis waiting for visas - Pakistan seems to be full of people not in the right minds !!

As regarding being a** holes - would Pakistan give a visa to someone who it feels are ' not in the right mind ' ?

India has just done it.

How difficult is it to appreciate something that is being done correctly for a change ?

Nice!! you gave a fitting reply to both.... But I think the latter was instigated by the former who's spreading hatred and spitting venom for a long time in this thread!! :)

you contradicted your earlier post just before this. don't fall for flame bait by trolls.

also the rape incidents in india get more coverage now since that delhi case, so it seems they occur more frequently. hopefully civil society there succeeds in bringing change. this is something that can be learned from as we're not free from this menace.

in some ways the girl below, however unfortunately, sparked this change and the horrendous suffering she went through brought greater focus on problems faced by women not only in south asia, but the world over.

it's my request to all members regardless of country, to not gloat at the suffering of our women in south asia, be it honor killings, rape, abuse, anything, and not use this or other serious issues as point scoring opportunities.

the incident in delhi is as shameful for me, not knowing men could reach such lows, as for the people of that city. similarly the honor killings problem in Pakistan should be a moment for other men of south asia to reflect on how women are mistreated and not valued in all our countries.

People know that there are more rapes in Western countries than in India even though women are more empowered in west..

statistic that a woman is raped in Delhi every 14 hours. That equates to 625 a year. Yet in England and Wales, which has a population about 3.5 times that of Delhi, we find a figure for recorded rapes of women that is proportionately four times larger: 9,509. Similarly, the Wall Street Journal decries the fact that in India just over a quarter of alleged rapists are convicted; in the US only 24% of alleged rapes even result in an arrest, never mind a conviction. This is the strange kind of reportage you tend to get on the issue.

Hi, please remove the woman's picture associated with delhi gang rape victim. Its not her. It is another woman from Kerala who has nothing to do with this incident or have ever been abused in her life. Also, please stop circulating it, as it is defamatory in nature.

According to television reports on CNN-IBN one of the photos being circulated as that of the Delhi gangrape victim is of a girl from Kerala. The father of the girl in the photo has filed a complaint against it with the Kerala cyber cell.

There are a lot of bad men around the world, and India is no exception. FYI, more rapes happen in the U.S than in India.

this is not falling for flame bait.

its only pointing out the facts and the clear winner is Pakistan. if we were in peace time we never seen such hesitation by foreigners to visit.

before Indians come up with their rant that no one visits Pakistan due to terrorism they should look within that why India in evern peace time giving wrong signals

Only reason more rapes happen in US than India is because all U.S rapes are reported

Only 1/10 rapes in India are reported, though.

:) nice facepalm however the point is not about the rape but about the trust of the foreigners which clearly tilt towards US than India despite your claim of more rapes in US.

This shows you are not favourit destination

Why not, Pakistanis will wait 4 months to get a visa while having cancer..
Don't make me laugh bro.
Ask any Pakistani in the world if they'd go to Insia for medical treatment.
They'd rather have a longer visa approval, say somewhere in UAE, than going to India where medical treatment of patients is low quality to be polite.

Hundreds of Pakistani's come to India each year to get medical treatments.

And that figure is increasing year on year.

LET is recruiting and training 30,000 to 40,000 terrorists to carry out attacks in India and we give them visa on arrival?

Congis are minority boot lickkers.

LeT has nothing to do with Pakistan.

Allowing Pakistanis needing medical attention is a gesture based on humanity grounds. Grow up!
