@SarthakGanguly - Are you telling me that you, @levina , @Ayush , @Indischer & @Ravi Nair were all driving Austen Martins from Delhi to Dhaka while I was trying to make my Donkey go another Kilometer by using everything from feeding him Strawberries to threatening to tell his Mrs. about him eyeing another Lady Donkey on the road ? o_O
Trying to make UR donkey???
:blink::blink::blink:

Baby you were THE donkey :haha::haha::haha:

No. We were all driving raths perhaps :enjoy: And this includes you

...and @levina did not know how to drive :D Just like now. :yay:
I know how to drive automatic cars8-)
But cars with manual gears is not my cup of tea :coffee:

.
Brilliant perspective - the last line  Will try that. :partay: But in my defense my arguments are very reasonable :)
Did the ancient Indians have aircraft? - NO
Did they have stem cell research? - NO
Did they have time machines? - NO :P
Were we the best in science and research? - NO

But our contribution has been substantial. And I don't wish to belittle that. Mahabharat is not the source of my arguments either. (Never read it fully :( ) That's all. :)

I wish I had a positive rating to hand out.

Okay, that post was a true eye opener. Now i started to believe in Vimanas, and the immaculate details in Mahabharata and Ramayana about them made me change my posture. :)

why UK and US will have the a$$ burn????? Its out history after all???? So it is the problem that we reject history narrated by them???

Isn't that begging the question? Who, or what gave you the notion that either the academic world of the UK or that of the US cares a flying, erm, grasshopper what is said by whom?

The problem is with the proposition that history is what a people want it to be, rather than what specialists in the subject estimate it and evaluate it to be. The problem is with the proposition that some random yob should wake up one morning, and, without much background or information in the subject, start planning moonshots with a calculator, ignoring the specialist scientists, on the grounds that it is our moonshot after all. The problem is with the total ignorance of the vast body of Indian social scientists and specialists in the humanities who have made it their lives' endeavours to pursue these subjects, it is with the cavalier assumption by some buffoonish politicians that they don't exist, that the tilting yard is occupied only by the ultras on the Indian side and the establishment on the colonial side.

This is the kind of stupid outlook that muddies the waters, and makes it very, very difficult for any reasonable discussion on these subjects.

I guess trolling is all you have left when the whole "India did nothing, we sucked, we were noobs" argument gets blown up  .

Shun the non believer.

Dare you question how 'Seeta mata' was kidnapped and flown into Lanka by Ravana, in the Pushpak Vimana, which Ravana won from Kuber along with Lanka.
OK :(

Gray areas there. :D No proof exists to prove or disprove of such actual vehicles. But then ... when I look at the Pyramids, I can't help but be in awe of the engineering marvel.

I find it very interesting that early man was also so deeply interested in flying, especially in times when even land travel was to put mildly - rudimentary. I have another theory - we had ALIENS :P

Couldn't understand this.

The Design of Khanda was changed several times in the Mauryan Empire , not to mention the design was actually effective against armors of Islamic Invaders .

Some examples would help. What does it mean when we are told that 'the design was actually effective against armors of Islamic invaders'. Where was this demonstrated? Given this superiority, why was there an irreversible trend of attackers winning against defenders, from the fall of the Sassanians through to the reign of Aurangzeb? And actually, as defined, beyond this, too, right until 1857, with the roles of attacker and defender given to new entities? Where was the design of the 'khanda' and in what way did it help?

We failed militarily , thats about the only thing i can think about on the invasion part .

What else is needed to fail in a military encounter? Were there debating contests and quiz contest on the side? Perhaps a rock festival?

Just because some retard talked about nukes doesn't mean you take that as a reason to dish at history.

Valid point, but would you therefore allow aforementioned retard free play with his retarded views? And if his retarded belief is representative of that mindset, is it not fair to therefore question the mindset, not just the way it expressed itself on one single idiotic instance?

Soo ? , how does that make any difference ?

The iron pillar by itself was irrelevant. It was what the people concerned did with that technology that was relevant.
