IMF Reduces Pakistan's GDP growth forecast.

.
Stop lying... moron this speaks of your inner hatred...why don't you show your calculations to motivate your claim and why are you saying its IMF's claim?

Stop being abusive and show some class.

Like I say this is what IMF is predicting for Pakistani economy with CPEC in full gear over the next 5 years.

If you do not like it, then take it up with IMF.

.
How can it fail when its developmental projects?
Like it failed in many other countries like venezuela (they even had oil, pak doesnt) and Sri lanka. Just like how many other countries are re evaluating projects under BRI, Pak is also re-evaluating CPEC.

.
Do not wholly agree here.

Yes, China would benefit but Pakistan should have to some extent. Without CPEC, Pakistan growth would have been even lower.

I think if the predictions come true, it shows that CPEC by itself cannot turn the Pakistani economy around. You also need to look at the other fundamentals like power, education and economic policies.
BD was growing at 6-7% a year and now the growth rate has risen to 8% a year with it's own CPEC in action. These huge projects can only do so much and you need the fundamentals as well.

1. pakistan does not need CPEC to grow, it needs to dismantle its establishment that bleeds it in a thousand invisible little ways.

2. CPEC was always designed to boost chinese growth and any pakistani growth was only incidental.

3. Its pointless to compare this with BD since BD is reaping the dual dividients of pushing its excess population into India and reaping the benefits of having good political relationship with India.

BD does not have to worry about anything apart from how to increase its GDP and HDI. They have aligned their foreign policy and defence with India and that keeps their mind space free for actual development.

A bit like canada and US relationship.

4. This makes BD hot investment opportunity for both china and the US, unlike pakistan where nobody really wants to invest except to make a fast buck and get out faster.

I find it incredible the amount of abuse that Pakistanis are throwing at me over this.

All I have done is posted what IMF has just predicted.

Lol what a garbage analysis. Stunted growth from low IQ perhaps . Pakistan doesnt need your advice. Why are you worried about Pakistan?? Why dont you crawl back to your slums.

Clearly show you neither know about economics nor Project Management..

Its obsession taking over judgement here. Bengalis want to remain relevant some how, despite the facts nobody really cares about them. They come up with these threads making tall claims or comparing themselves with Pakistan or India. Forgetting millions living in India, as emigrants.

Stop going off-topic with so-called illegal immigration from BD and your take on BD defence/foreign policy.

As for CPEC, of course it is required as without infrastructure economic activities cannot happen.

BD is a very good comparison as it nicely illustrates how much increase in growth you can get with "CPEC" style projects.

That was my reply to a Bangladeshi. I couldn't care less about what happens in pakistan except to watch your misery as a minor compensation for the terrorists you send into India.

I think most Indians come to pdf for that minor satisfaction.

Happens every time someone brings up CPEC, they slander them by calling them jealous :/

For me it's all related and nothing is isolated from the other.

Once a nation is stable, FDI is the natural outcome. Not CPEC. Without a stable base, CPEC is only going to exploit and spread more misery and increase burden.

Like I said, BD cannot be compared to pakistan at this point. Both are at totally different stages of political maturity and stability.

Let's leave this as we will not agree.

. . .
Exactly... Pakistan should first do legalization to remove religious extremism from streets.
All flags besides :pakistan: should be banned in Pakistan.

To deal with extremists, extreme measures are required.

Make sure you have supremacy of Law that transparency is ensured for all Development projects which are based on utmost needs of the People and not Just some Friends higher up get contracts.

The rampant abuse of power in the society will ensure that justice will always be preferential and a tool of victimisation.

.
Lol continue the propaganda , nothing is going to stop CPEC.

CPEC failure don't necessarily mean PTI uprooting the roads and bridges.
Very first measure after assuming power, which Imran Khan took like a dictator was to hit at CPEC, as a consequence Chinese demanded clarifications, whereupon dilly dallying Imran Khan was forced to make U trun, but the damage is done already.
I bet China is already reviewing their plans and CPEC is going to be limited now.
Whereas bureaucracy in Pakistan go the message, to scale back active co-operation to CPEC projects.
There will be NO new projects. welcome to naya Pakistan.
