Yes indeed, as a scale aeroplane modeler I find these overall grey with no squadron markings a real bore. This is an IAF thing only though, since the IN proudly displays the squadron markings on it's airplanes, both fighters and others.

CNBC is reporting that these are the areas where Transfer of Technology will be carried out for the GE F-414-INS6 turbofan engines. These will be built at HAL's Engine Division in Bangalore.

Eventually hundreds will be built for the Tejas Mk2, TEDBF and AMCA Mk1.
