@Aramagedon Azeris and Turks are slightly closer to Central Asians than Iranic people. However most Iranic people also carry some Central Asian Turkic dna (not sure if that's surprising).

I like how much people think they know about Iran, even if they are wrong sometimes.

But that aside, just the idea that they are interested in Iran and read about us is indeed interesting and greatly appreciated.

I probably know more about Iranian genetics than most Iranians, Indian genetics than most Indians, African genetics than most Africans.
I am no expert, I learn everything online, but 95%+ people I know have no interest in genetics.

I probably know more about Iranian genetics than most Iranians, Indian genetics than most Indians, African genetics than most Africans.
I am no expert, I learn everything online, but 95%+ people I know have no interest in genetics.

Keep sharing your thoughts brother. One of my relatives took a DNA test and got 6% similarity to Norwegian DNA. I thought it was pretty interesting. Rest was Southwestern Asian types.

I don't think so. Iranians look quite different to Pakistani Punjabis and Sindhis. They look far similar to Arabs especially the Kuwaiti and Bahraini Arabs. Anybody with a good eyesight can tell you that.

well I personally like the look of many indians more than middle easterners and afghans(barring pashtuns) , I dont know why some pakistanis prefer some neighbours to others , all neighbours of pakistan are beautiful

Anatolians are more Han and Turk (because Seljuks settled there and changed their language) than Iranians. Azaris have also Turkish DNA because Turks migrated to Caucas but yet they are very very close to Persians.

Syrians and Palestinians are more arab than Iranians but they are somehow close to Iranians.

Because Afghans, for example, look more like me and everyone I know, than Indians do. I feel commonality with them also based on culture and religion.

I have no problem with Indians or Eskimos, they just can't do Khattak dance with me.
