I don't know, but I suppose not. I mean some measures consider both genetic drift and mutations while some others consider only one of them.

Iranians are their own group. Iranian Persians are similar to Kurds, Azeris, Tajiks, Pashtuns and Baloch. Iranians do share J2 haplogroup with Arabs and Turks but have different phenotype overall.

I have noticed some people here have this wrong idea that Iranians are closer to Saudis than they are to us. Not that I care because we are still pretty distant, but just putting it out for this one Iranian guy who never fails to bring up Pakistani dna/genetics in every thread he posts. This seriously means nothing. You haven't provided much context, sources, so many things missing from this analysis. Some Iranians will be genetically close, some less so with certain groups of Arabs. So many variables here.

is this a sub post targeting @drmeson ? because i saw when 3000 Pakistanis challenged him on PDF saying Iranians and Pakistanis have no genetic links(it seems many Pakistanis hate to identify as being genetically "close" to any neighboring country, which is interesting).

I have to be honest, this Dr.Meson really smashed the Pakistanis arguing that they are not genetically similar to Iranians. But that mainly happened because some people who arent expert in the field ran into a real expert..

Pakistani people are mainly a mix of dravidians with ancient iranian farmers mixed with a ton of other shit. So we are unique in this aspect.

when combined the masses of both population of iran and pakistan you can see they are both similar, perhaps iranians are maybe 1,2 degrees lighter.

however you can always tell iranians by the colour and shape of their hair, eyebrow and skin tone, imo iranians are unique in this case.

If you are talking about Gilaks and Mazandarani people then they are not Iranic but related to the Caucasus region, and no, they don't have blonde hair in any considerable frequency..

There are some differences of facial structure, hair, and body type between Iranian and Afghans, Pakistanis, but basically all share the same basic genetics because all are derived from Iranic tribes (originating from Altai mountains and Tarim Basin.)

For Pakistan, it was Saka, Kushans, and Hunas. Afghans are also derived from these same groups.

Afghans and Pakistanis both have links to IVC and Iranic heritage shared between us.

Tajiks, GB, Pukhtoons, and Punjabis have more Turkic/Mongol admixture.

Whereas Sindhis and Baloch have Arab, Kurd, and some African admixture.

The other point is that Iranians have Semitic admixture from Arabs, Babylonia, etc. In higher proportion to Pakistanis and Afghans.

Alot of those Caucasian Muslim groups are mixtures of Turks and Iranic people. They are very lovely people, Azeri, Chechen, Dagestan, Circassians, Crimea Tatar, Tatars, Kurds.
