What's new

Ex Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Central Air Command, SBP Sinha on Youtube

Windy - unlike you, i dont suffer from a colonial hangover. Shes a nobody and i see no reason to waste my time on her or on warnes comments. Let her be official spokesperson of armed forces and then we will talk.
But then again, your leaders think differently who invite these people for their opinion and otherwise...what you think or feel....does it even matter.

This shows your serious lack of understanding of history ! India fought kargil on its territory - it did not cross LOC to fight NLI on peaks. And the reason it did not cross LOC is because of Nuclear threat. Americans were paranoid about this. Also not crossing LOC enabled us to get some serious Diplomatic leverage. Perhaps you have forgotten Kargil events. Balakot is the first time after 71 where we officially went across LOC/IB.
Errr....your two pilots (One deceased) who again ended up in Pakistani custody must have left their Tejas trailers on the LOC before walking over....learn some facts first....India and Pakistan often fire guns and artillery across the LOC....the only difference is that IAF tried to engage a target deeper inside Pakistani territory....which they failed miserably.

Windy - this is so childish that i was thinking of ignoring it. Search for Syrian/Palestine videos on spice bombs and different kinds of spice bombs. Retrospectively (IN IAF chiefs words) - we should have flattened the building. Indian armed forces lag behind pakistani counterparts in one thing and thats 'Information warfare'; We dont even have a 'ISPR' kind of department.
And your comments elsewhere that 350 casualties could have been hidden under the guise of road accident certainly deserves commendations for mature discussion....although you have your own version ADG PI....but then why would you need this when you have a slavish media hand in glove with your armed forces.

Was taken down because he was incorrect ! Not even an iota of proof - No Radar images, no ELINT recordings. Only the threat of making it public but not done so.
Amazing that a guy sitting in the studio decided to randomly report it, he could have easily reported it as F-16 shot down a MiG-21 or even an Mi-17 but I guess the fallback came quick and is haunting all concerned.

What exactly is your point ? You are just jabbering. PAK armed forces is corporation. Its a business for them. Indian armed forces is not a business. The point is extremely straight forward. Its not about morality nonsense.
Give it a break you are behaving like a headless chicken....a third world one at that...let me introduce you to your own race.

Windy - you are a gas bag man. You have never changed after all these years. Its a well documented fact - if you care to read. Anyways - you can choose to forget it. These are all painful memories for you guys - the dream of cutting of Kashmir never realized.
Well, it can't be helped if your own trapped wind is affecting your own thinking, now don't tell me the Indian self-serving history is the official version.....if it weren't for a superpower and her problem child, there would have been a lot more than Kargil Coffin scandal.

Remind this stupid old man about the time velocity of money

But its 3 years now. I'd buy the argument more if it was still within relevant sight (less than a year or two) of the on/off reset and India was a lot more urbanised with total debt well past 100% of its yearly production (but for argument sake still reliant on shadow banking for last-tier credit delivery to SME and small consumers). Instead its total market cap is around 100% of GDP to begin with (and gross public debt leveraging around half of that)...so the immediate domestic liquidity frontier (say compared to regional peers) is in a sweet spot for India's current trajectory so I feel 3 years time should be enough time for re-liquidating the overall root/branch dendrology network sufficiently. The real problem lies with the actual (macro) network plugging in the main thoroughways of the tree trunk (exacerbated by the way the tree grew around it with a somewhat super-charged diet without changing it), and that will take some more time with IBC (which is a very welcome institutional process).

If there is longer term stuff (say stubborn cascading even there that cannot be compensated enough by the improved delivery of govt support programs), it needs longer term data for that too...and then a net cost benefit analysis of that time period. But India is just getting started in the statistical framework for such analysis resolution (w.r.t developed economies) so its caught in somewhat of a bind in the scope of available policy-result feed back loops. The recent E-survey has some good suggestions to improve this.

Enjoyed reading rest of your post as always (Esp the bit about the historical colonial wealth transfer/extraction/suppression that is the main overlooming reason for most afflictions and predicaments that ail at least the economic side of India). I am preparing an overall analysis for later in the year if I have time.

This has strayed quite off topic now my friend. I will let the topic settle back to its stated heading now and will tag you elsewhere for further discussion.

Have you heard the (previous) Subbu in his post-Mengel phase? He sounds rather different.

Yes I analysed on this forum about it somewhere (there was good, bad and everything in between). I always appreciate such challenge and discord, more information and analysis (whatever the perspective) is a welcome thing.

In fact while he was in govt, I was much appreciative of the analysis he brought to the education sector of India at the ASER report release iirc. Probably one of his less known presentations, but the one I thought was most important (since the sobering numbers were quite indisputable to begin with given the survey scale and resolution).

No single soul however is some ultimate authority on the larger much more complicated macro-economic (given the macro-statistical process). His flaw in that analysis was the limited scope of what he picked to correlate (and not exploring the same process for other countries to see what the larger intrinsic sources of "inflated" growth could be at any development stage). Everyone simply makes their case and counter-case...then people have to decide in the end what makes most sense and logic. It goes for the IMF head (and IMF at large) too of course.

Leaders ? Public forum can invite anyone they want - Even Mushraf has spoken on these public forums, so what to do about it ? Shes a nobody and should not be paid attention to. But i know whats going on over here - Its the same colonial mentality. A gora's opinion is worth its weight in Gold ! Our nations slavery ended in 47, but you can choose to carry on.

Utter lack of comprehension and total stupidity reeks from the above comment. One look at Kargil peeks and you will take back your words. One side of the Peek is India and other is Pak ! If a pilot is shot down then he will drift into PAK considering the direction in which he is attacking. But hey ! Dont let Logic come in the way of rhetoric !

And your comments elsewhere that 350 casualties could have been hidden under the guise of road accident certainly deserves commendations for mature discussion....although you have your own version ADG PI....but then why would you need this when you have a slavish media hand in glove with your armed forces.
ADG PI is rubbish. It posts press releases and certified twitter posts. Nothing more ! Its not in the business of information warfare. Here ISPR is way ahead and credit to them ! Its beautiful to watch them work. Any militarily important nation has a credible Information warfare wing - India has no such thing! With regards to Slavish Media hand in glove - perhaps you have only seen glorified reports ! They screw armed forces equally as well ! In PAK , didnt Hamid Mir receive bullets for his scathing remarks on ISI/Army - he has become quite loyal i heard.

Give it a break you are behaving like a headless chicken....a third world one at that...let me introduce you to your own race.

Repeat after me windy - They got caught ! They got caught !
Now ask the question - How did they get caught ? Answer - Due to one of those pesky reporters. With this single news you have rebutted the above point of 'Slavish media in glove..'
Remind me - When Pak media tears down their generals , who seem to have plenty of money ! Ohh wait - there's nothing wrong in that. Pak armed forces are after all corporation ! They can earn handsome money.

Last i heard - Superpower master was US and PAK was servant. Fast forward - China is the new master and Pak is again a servant. Quit bringing out stupid points and passing wind . You get away because no one questions you here. Lets debate when you have something constructive to add. Oh by the way start by reading Clinton book where he talks about Kargil ,Brookings report as well. It will help you stem some wind of which you have plenty.

She was sitting beside your former Archief and just imagine if she had said that IAF did shoot down an F-16, we would have witnessed an idol of her beside Trump being worshipped across India.

You pathetic remarks prove how Indians are taken for a ride by the Bollywood infused media...initial claim was that Abhinandan's MiG had a malfunction and he drifted into Pakistani territory and here you the victim of such nonsense repeating the same garbage.....so let me ask you after the Indian pilots who often seem to drift into Pakistan, do their bereaved aircraft which weigh in tons also follow their pilots...I mean that must be some strong wind always blowing in Pakistan's direction.

Lol, forget reporters we have all heard what happened to the likes of Tej Bahdur and Chandu Lal....yea Hamid Mir got shot for which he was bandaged over his shirt.

Repeat after me windy - They got caught ! They got caught !

Stop being a drama queen and jumping topics to suit your narrative...the headline is enough to bring some sense into the bewildered minds....and then we hear how rations are siphoned and soldiers forced to buy uniforms only from certain quarters.
The nation's biggest landlord the army

Your ethics prove your level...you lack even basic comprehension but habitually need to troll... .so tell me when was the last time, any superpower came to assist or rescue Pakistan....do one supplying satellite imagery and giving an ultimatum to Pakistan and the other providing much-needed weaponry knock some sense into you.
Here, since you lack knowledge, let me enlighten you.

Indian newspapers and their public believe--or say they believe--that the conflict in Dras-Kargil last year was a military victory for India. In fact, it was a war 'won' by briefings and a slavishly supportive media. The Indian public wanted to be assured of 'victory,' and every effort was made to provide that assurance. Kargil was disastrous for Pakistan in worldwide political terms, and was an important public relations coup for the Indian government, both internally (in the run-up to the election), and internationally. But militarily it was a shambles for India whose brave but ill-prepared soldiers suffered gravely and would have sustained even heavier casualties had the conflict continued. The prime minister of Pakistan was ordered by the president of the United States to withdraw his troops from a successful military operation and this was done in time to save the Vajpayee government from the wave of criticism that would have swamped it had the confrontation not been stopped.
