Definitely need the new E-7 Wedgetail.

US Air Force will buy E-7 Wedgetail in 2022, Boeing exec claims

“I’m very confident that the Air Force is choosing the E-7 to replace its E-3 fleet,” Mike Manazir, Boeing’s vice president for defense business development, said during a news conference ahead of the Dubai Airshow.

USAF should get su30mki aka "mini-Awacs" real quick to ensure timely detection of the j20.

Does not mean the electronics and software of that aircraft have remained the same since 1970

Yes agreed, but not completely..

It would be better if practice analysis done with including radar and sensors - to latest available. If it all has upgraded then it is a good news for china..

If still not yet then it would be a bad news.

The j-20 should always have the Luneberg lens open, which means that the e-3 can't find the j-20 with the Luneberg len open in time?

LOL.. Nice self delusion.

From horse mouth, USAF chief admit their AWACS are crapped. Of cos USAF can spot J-20 when its is flying only 1km away from it. They spot it visually with the AWACS pilot eyes rather than the radar. This must have send shiver down Indian spine.
