Punjabis are a mix bunch dude, what are you on about?
And in terms of face features and color our punjabis are way more good looking than indian punjabis.I am surprised how can he compare me with someone from utter pardeshPunjabis are a mix bunch dude, what are you on about?
punjabies i know most of them or their granparents have bad memories of pakistan so they dont have any love for punjabies from across the border but cant say anything about how punjabies from across the border feel about punjabies of indiaA Tamil Muslim ,hindu or christian no matter where he is has love for a fellow tamilian...I recently read a Facebook message of ar rahman paying tribute to apj Abdul kalam where he said something like apj Abdul kalam showed how a Tamil can influence all India(in other words he was saying that he was proud of apj being Tamil).
The same can be said of malayalis ...Wherever they go they remain united irrespective of their religion....Gujarati ,Marathi ,Telugus and bengalis do have their own communities in many countries.
Do punjabis of pak and India share that brotherhood?or are the memories of partititon still fresh in their minds?has Islam wiped off any feeling or identity with Punjabi and its culture?
Poverty is a bigger problem than beauty...And in terms of face features and color our punjabis are way more good looking than indian punjabis.I am surprised how can he compare me with someone from utter pardesh
These are people of UP
same how you feel about thempunjabies i know most of them or their granparents have bad memories of pakistan so they dont have any love for punjabies from across the border but cant say anything about how punjabies from across the border feel about punjabies of india
Punjab has always been divided on religous lines in pre partition lahore muslims were not even allowed to touch the taps used by brahmin panditsI think you are right..but feeling of Bengali nationalism has been there on both sides...but I don't get the feeling that even bengalis from both sides love each other.
We have significant population of Urdu speaking Muslims here in telangana...most of their homes get Telugu newspapers..they watch Telugu movies and serials as much as they watch Hindi ones.
One of my Muslim friends had been to Dubai once in search of a job..He told me there is a place there where all the daily telugu labourers gather in the morning before going to work...whenever he passed them(listening to them speaking Telugu) during jumma namaz,he would get a feeling of comfort and relief.
Even though he was a Urdu speaking Muslim ,he didn't get that feeling when he saw a UP Muslim or a Bihari Muslim....I believe it is very difficult to tell what makes a society or a group to develop that feeling of oneness or closeness.
It can't be language or religion alone.
ouchI am Punjabi and I hate Sikhs. They are worse than the dotheads for me.
There is no such thing as a punjabi look it totally depends on your biradri(caste or tribe) your social status and areaDon't teach me how Punjabis look or you must not be a Punjabi

Lolzzzzzzz. Indians world revolves too much around bollywood and showbiz.Yes...looks depends on your biradri and your social status, it is also same in India too...but there is a 'Punjabi look'..I don't mean every Punjabi will have that look.
A typical 'Punjabi' look
This is a common thing amongst pakistanis to address sikhs as sardar jees because pakistanis are generally very wellbehaved and courteous race when they meet outsiders. U wud notice that during the pilgrimage days when skihs are visiting lahore.I am from Punjab and I very easily relate with Indian Sardas. I begin "O ke haal ea Sardar jee" and the Sard would start in friendly tone. I greeted a Sardar jee who was driving a buss and after asking where I was from, Sardar jee refused to take ticket for the trip and drove me free.
Sardars do not consider themselves Indians and introduce themselves are "from Punjab" and this aspect burs several non-Punjabi Indians.
Anna,i am a Bengali and believe me we(i mean the majority of the Bengalis) don't have any sort love or affinity for our Bangaldeshi counterparts even though half of my family was from erstwhile East Bengal(present day Bangaldesh).Although we speak the same language the reality is that we are poles apart when it comes to culture and tradition.I mean you'll be surprised to find that the Bengalis share a more cultural similarities with the Odiyas than with the Bangaldeshis.Plus, most of us have suffered the wrath of partition and hence will never forget the treatment that was meted out to our forefathers by their BD counterparts.I think you are right..but feeling of Bengali nationalism has been there on both sides...but I don't get the feeling that even bengalis from both sides love each other.
