What's new

Do Pakistani punjabis have love for Indian Punjabis and vice versa

In my family everyone from my mums side is slim.

In my dads family EVERYONE has obesity problems

And all Kashmiri families stick to their sabz chai and their staple of rice and love for meat
What is sabz chaI?

Did you mean qehva ? That's more Pashtun/Baloch than associated with Kashmir ...

Kashmiris are mostly known about your dilicious Kashmir chai .. The pink tea with dry fruits.

Or kidney or liver beans with rice ? Whatever they are called.

NO!

A Tamil Muslim ,hindu or christian no matter where he is has love for a fellow tamilian...I recently read a Facebook message of ar rahman paying tribute to apj Abdul kalam where he said something like apj Abdul kalam showed how a Tamil can influence all India(in other words he was saying that he was proud of apj being Tamil).

The same can be said of malayalis ...Wherever they go they remain united irrespective of their religion....Gujarati ,Marathi ,Telugus and bengalis do have their own communities in many countries.

Do punjabis of pak and India share that brotherhood?or are the memories of partititon still fresh in their minds?has Islam wiped off any feeling or identity with Punjabi and its culture?

You have no clue how punjabi or for that matter how UP people look if you think that @SecularNationalist looks like a UP person, UP people tend to be dark, roundfaced and flat nosed whilst this gentleman has a sqaure face, strong jaw, straight nose and much fairer skinned than UP types, you are being a troll admit it @ito or you have a profound dislike for Punjabi people especially on our side of border.

 Man, don't teach a Punjabi, how a Punjabi look like.

By the way, why are you digging old threads for trolling? And you are calling me toll :-)

That guy was a racist. 90% of his posts are about Indians skin color. So I showed him the mirror. And what I said was true of him. He doesn't look like a Punjabi, at least not like how a typical punjabi looks like on the Indian side. Now, I am not interested in furthering discussing a member. So please excuse me.

The guy must have really wagged your tail or perhaps you need to visit a decent optometrist or perhaps punjabis on your side look like banglas and biharis perhaps thats why he does not look like the people you see day in day out.

Try reading books by British ...

There is no 1 "Panjabi" look in Pakistan because of diversity in Pak Panjab and Pak as a whole.

You will find people who look like the person in your pic and people who can be mistaken for White brits..

.
Yes, indeed.
Not much differences. The geography, history, language, customs, food & weather brings them together which creates an understanding that is positively relished, as it's a part of human nature.

There is no 1 Indian look too. India is ten times more diverse than Pakistan

India's north easterners

Do they look 'Indian'? There are 1000's of various ethnicity and regions in India that don't fit your image of an 'Indian'. But we are all Indians

I have noticed that when Pakistani Punjabis meet Indian Sikhs ( most Indian Punjabis are Sikhs ), there is definitely some cultural affinity. They love to talk to each other in their common language.

same when Pakistani meets an Urdu Speaking Indian, they speak Urdu....yes most North Indian speak udru not Hindi

Erm you'l find the same look amongst Pakistanis as well. Pakistani Hazaras and even Balti's have East Asian features.

Indeed, one of my fathers best friends was a Bukhari syed from androon shehr lahore (Faqir Khana family), and he looked like he had just popped out from Bukhara yesterday physically, but culturally and linguistically he was totally Lahori. Balochistan is hugely mixed as well. From dark Makranis to 'east asian looking' Hazara to Pashtun to Brahui. Pakistan is just so diverse!

the people in Pak punjab are generally lighter skinned than in hindian punjab ie compare a average pindi chap with some ram laal from delhi, your answer against that individual has made you lose all objectivity, actually that chap does not look like hindian punjabi he look more potohari or even hazara div let alone UP people who are even darker and broader featured than you hindian punjabis.Kudos and do not let anger define your judgement as you will start to look like a joke.
