Dhaka seeks more data on river flow, Delhi says no on ‘security grounds’

i will also like to point out the energy sharing thing that stalled from Tripura, how do you expect us to believe that we will benefit from this one/

Its the centre prerogative to distribute the power to whom and whom not. In India, power projects, executed by central govt, they have the authority on who and who to give power. Not Tripura CM Manik Sarkar. So his cry is just to get himself attention as a friend of BD, which i dont complain.
Secondly In NE, lots of villages are not even electrified. So where will these people go and demand? They will demand us(Indian govt) only. Not BD.
Thirdly Tipaimukh is a joint project, while that Tripura project isnt.

All of these lies already been said by other indians including indian govt.

India lie to Bangladesh to be partner and then excluding Bangladesh from assessment.
Indian PM promise to share river flow data with Bangladesh but then deny the data on security excuse.

India practically admitting to the fact that it plan to use Tipaimukh dam as tool of aggression against Bangladesh.

I will better argue with saner minds like animelive than Jamaatis like u, who always argue with ur eyes close.

.
we have problems with water diversion,if that didn't happen,we have no problem at all..

don't mind but BD has only 2 neighbours(with whom they have boundaries) i guess, one is india, and other is Mayanmar..looks like both are your "Enemies"..

They keep their words so that won't be a problem.

Myanamar is well off of our friends list and the way India is playing, maybe a decade or 2 until we reach bad blood.

Note: it was Indian Govt whom we helped to set up the plants and not Tripura one

About your third point, so you are taking us into the project but won't disclose the information about the project. How do you expect us to take a decision then?

U provided us transit, which we paid. Never was something for free. I have nothing against supplying power to BD, but really there must have been some bottlenecks coming up in between. Like absence of transmission corridor.
And thirdly, if they had asked about water flow data in some areas or in some valleys, through which the river passes, and a armed forces have a kinda secret bases, how do u expect us to provide?
Will u provide the same info if u were in some situation? We provided info about the dam, cost, sharing of electricity and amount of water to BD on year basis.
U guys asked whats the water flow rate in these areas, there areas etc.

:blink::blink: let them build first...then we'll see..

then there will be no "Real" friends for you..you are already landlocked by India, remember???and most of Indians are already fed up with BD's activities..helping terrorists and separatists, illegal migration, regular bashing by your media and hawkish fundamentalists, one of the source and corridor of fake note racket..list is longer than you anticipate.

Can someone explain the logic Brahmaputra water vs Teesta water.

. . .
those were the sensible ones, who supported us when they thought we did a good thing.

They don't stick to a single side and bash India all the time.

@animelive, are U proud of your sensible tag from Indians?:D A reward for being a frog at the bottom of the well I guess.

Chanakyans R clever deceptive thugs. We have a lot to learn from U guys interms of slyness. U should take it as a compliment IMO.

GoI is a funny troller of BDesh....first, the power sharing with tripura, then with boundary issues and now with this.....
this country is so cool n cuddly, it should not be forced to fight for each and every bone.

1. The current government in New Delhi is acting irresponsibly and unfairly.

They cannot deny access to water flow to the government of 150 million people on the spurious pretext of "security".

This is a clear lie by Manmohan Singh's regime, and such behaviour frustrates us Bangladeshis.

2. The Tipumaikh dam can never be built, we Sylhetis (I am a real Sylheti from Sylhet district of Sylhet division) will never allow our Sylhet a.k.a Jalalabad (Jalalabad is the classical name for Sylhet) to be starved to death and our water and ecology destroyed.

I cannot elaborate on what we can do, but suffice to say we will never allow it to happen.

On topic, I hope @Gigawatt stop farting about mythical chinese wolf. U people yourself beg for complete data on any river project from china but balantly deny us the right. Only people with 0 conscience can have the nerve to argue after that.:frown:

To be frank , Bangladeshis apart from easily trollable naive idiots didn't expect anything else from these Indo-awami deals IMO.:)
