where are the articles Chinese dams on Bramaputra will turn North Bangladesh into desert.

BD is an partner in this. People are getting killed on a yearly basis on account of floods. U know that. And we are building a dam for that first basically.
Secondly the power is also to be shared with BD. Are u really nuts opposing this? This also prevents floods in BD. A fully beneficial project in terms of BD.

1) RAW or no RAW there is something brewing in the minds of Delhi politicians. They have already stalled the process of providing 100 MW worth of power to BD from Tripura-this is what its Chief minister Manik Sarker complained. Read the other thread that I have started.

2) Now, after building 54 barrages and dams India is coming with a proposal of taking BD in confidence so that it can keep on building dams across the border with impunity. Tipaimukhi dialogue seems to be to soothe the fear of locals where the dam will be built.

3) Tipaimukhi will destroy the ecology of downstream Sylhet Haor system that harbours fishes in the summer and allows rice farming in winter. Tipaimukh will change all that. There will be less water in summer because Tipai will retain water. There will be more water in winter because Tipai will release water in that period.

4) Lesser water in summer is a recipe for destroying the fish cultivation in the Haors of Sylhet. On the other hand, more water in winter will cause the submerged Haors to produce less quantity of rice. So, Tipai is a two-headed snake for us. India is certain to build this dam, but is trying to woo BD opinion in its favour by talking of joint venture. Tipai will just ruin the ecology and economy of Sylhet area. The GoB must be strict with India about this dam building.

i will also like to point out the energy sharing thing that stalled from Tripura, how do you expect us to believe that we will benefit from this one/

nope,India said what it has to say to their Foreign ministry.they don't create a story of conspiracy theory.all they wanted is that the dams don't hurt interest of ours..

I was just pointing out that we are going to International court because of Indian bullying. The objective was crystal clear, even though none of the countries joined together, both wanted a sea locked BD.

none of them wanted a a sea locked BD,and as it is in international court,none can do anything about it.but if BD lose their case against India,It'll start to whine again about Indian Conspiracy.

All of these lies already been said by other indians including indian govt.

Though India did not inform Bangladesh about forming a company that would construct the Tipaimukh dam, the Indian prime minister had offered to share all the information about the project with Bangladesh.

However, the Indian government has conducted its own assessment. Bangladesh was excluded from the assessment.

we have problems with water diversion,if that didn't happen,we have no problem at all..

don't mind but BD has only 2 neighbours(with whom they have boundaries) i guess,one is india,and other is Mayanmar..looks like both are your "Enemies"..
