. . . .
Ok But Khilafah Belongs to which Sect ?

"The tribe of Israel was guided by prophets. When a prophet passed away, another prophet succeeded him. But no prophet will come after me; only caliphs will succeed me." (Bukhari, Kitab-ul-Manaqib) - Muhammad (PBUH)

The first caliph of Islam was Abu Bakr (RA), at that time there was no sect in Islam. Khilafah is an obligation and compulsory to establish.
It is the same system which was first established at the time of Prophet Dawud (AS).

But the difference is previous nations had prophets to guide and now Caliph is needed for guidance.

If you still have any question, ask it. Thank you!

We don't agree with caliphate system our leaders are imams that's it.

For Shites it's Imam & for Sunnis it's Caliph. Not a much of differences in their qualifications & duties but just a word. :)

How will you decide on the Muttaqis for this caliph?
What fiqh will he be from?
What sect?
What will his views be on differing practices?
What interpretation will he follow?
Will everybody else be ok with his interpretation?
Will everybody be ok with his ethnicity?

.
Has anyone read Iqbal's 'Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam' ?

In there the poet argues that since the advent of the Modern Nation State, the office of the Caliphate has been devolved to the parliament of the said State. I tend to agree with him.

No doubt there are many questions in others mind too and there are many organizations working for the restoration Khilafah. But there is a solid fact on which everybody agree.

When we will have Caliphs like Abu Bakr (RA), Umer (RA), Usman (RA) and Ali (RA) caliphate would be restored. :agree:

Does the saying of Iqbal (RA) has more value than the saying of Muhammad (PBUH)? (nauzubillah)

Was Iqbal a religious scholar? He sure praised Ilm Ud Din, did that carry religious weight as well?

Khilafat can be restored as a Union of the Muslim countries.

If it was as clear cut as what the Prophet (PBUH) said, what the Koran says & what Islamic traditions said or meant to say then we wouldn't be distributed in so many different sects, my friend !

The point being Iqbal, who was head & shoulders, above everyone of his contemporary (or there about) Muslim Intellectuals & perhaps one of the Greatest Minds this part of the Earth produced, read the Koran, read the Hadith, read the traditions & issued an opinion ! I tend to agree with that opinion & it is your prerogative to disagree with it, should you wish to.
