Miss, back in time when there were cartoons printed in a Denmark magazine, i was a teenager, highly emotional and very angry. I looked at the entire issue, it made me go crazy, i was leader of a student union then - we blocked the traffic - burnt tires - threw stones at buses - stopped a highway for several hours for our protest and then i painted a Danish flag on the highway with huge paint rollers. Then we walked the whole demonstration over it, now that gave my hormones some peace. But later in life, i realized how stupid it actually was, what if there were ambulances in the 5Km long Que.What if there were elderly and sick kids in those vehicles, who is going to pay for the cars and buses we damaged, why did we closed shops and deprived them off their business. I kept questioning myself, one day i realized that i was totally wrong. The right way to protest was to spread awareness of Islam in the west, take legal action against people who did such terrible things.

How can we expect the world to support us when we are killing their ambassadors?, We muslims are irrational and emotional hippos. The guy who created this film is a convicted criminal for bank fraud and is now facing multiple law suits. Does he deserve so much attention, are his ideas so important? - We Muslims by our stupid response turned his junk film into a blockbuster ! --- Nice !!

Iqbal is talking about following the ideals of Mohammed [SAW], does your life reflect that? - Mohammed [SAW], wanted to educate people, what is your literacy rate?

my dear this is just an idea and alternative to a violent street protest.
it is far more civil and acceptable dont you think?

I know the irony that most of the daily life things we see around and use around have American connection. but to show our distaste and displeasure what we can do is not buy anything American if there is an alternative available.
at business level if we go for a European or Russian plant and machenry instead of American then it will start hitting them where it hurts

and then American policy and Law Makers will give a consideration to change this sham and abusive use of freedom of Expression.
Anything that channels the anguish and hurt caused by regular insults to Islam to a peaceful and respectable way must be encouraged.

I am totally against flag burning, throwing stones and disrupting peace and even causing deaths for the sake of protesting and rage. it only strengthens the bigots and hypocrites point of view that "see? we told you Muslims are violent"

I doubt if the Muslim governments have the spine to cancel their future business and trade deals with America but that will be the best way to go about it rather than letting people disrupt the peace.

Russia and China can really take advantage from this situation and so can all those countries that are termed as rouges and axes of evil by Americans.

its a peaceful way of descent. even a personal boycott of anything American in the future by one person can add up and translate into hundreds of millions of people (if not the entire billion Muslim population).

Pakistan can bring investment from China in billions if people start to market Chinese products. Word Of Mouth is a great driving force. Buying Chinese products especially likes of Lenovo, Huwaie etc. will make more Chinese companies to invest just the way they do in India.

The actual usage of friendship Pakistan can have from China is Economy wise. Better to use this as an opportunity to market Chinese goods.

Your effort won't mean anything ! , you know why?, because what really makes a difference is if the OIC stands up and blocks all major American brands - this is what will make a difference which the US govt will actually feel and might re-think on their "freedom of hate" culture in their country.

If someone doesn't respect you and your stance is right then you should take it by Force but do it non-violently or in legal umbrella. This is the way we got our Independence. If someone makes derogatory remarks and not retract it, you can file a case for defamation in court.

I don't know why people are opposing a non-violent means to be adopted by person similar to violent means.

For those who think boycotting or making small adjustments can gradually increase the impact of your protest, go ahead with it, don't listen to excuses. I personally believe in constructive addition and deletion in the rough draft by OP rather than making excuses and doing nothing against it.

If someone disrespect your most respected person in your religion or society, the teachings of him your family, nations follows, then you have the complete right to take action against the culprits by non-violence and legal measures. Don't be idle, make those people pay so that when someone in future try to do so has to think twice.

It doesn't matter if you use Facebook against Google as long as your message is being spread. It is way better than posting crap on your status bar.

Thank you, finally someone with common sense. People need to stop spreading ignorance, it only makes themselves look ridiculous. By boycotting American products it just makes everyone else think that you are ignorant

1) For one thing, it is impossible. You are currently typing on an american invented/designed computer, on an american owned Vbulletin forum system, on an american invented internet.

2) How do any of these companies have anything to do with the video that was made other than sharing the same relative location? When you boycott these products you are doing 10x more damage to your fellow countrymen and store owners/distributors than you are to the actual company itself (which has absolutely nothing to do with the video made)

3) You may not realize this, but the whole idea of a boycott is to make a stand against a serious issue. When you boycott American companies (that were guilty of nothing related to the video) due to a very cheaply made, and poorly dubbed video, you are achieving everything you didn't want to accomplish. The people you are trying to market your message to view you as being ignorant of reality, causing them to ignore your message altogether and write you off as an emotional nutcase. There is a time and a place for everything, and a correct way to do things. I understand that a lot of Muslims want to get the point across that they do not approve of disrespectful portrayals of their prophet, however actions like this are like stabbing yourself with a sword in order to get back at someone. It makes no sense whatsoever and only serves to hurt yourself and those around you.
