NEW DELHI: Should Pakistan's ISI, the country's powerful intelligence agency, be blacklisted? The Afghan national Security Council has strongly recommended that the ISI should be declared a terrorist entity. The strongly-worded official Afghan reaction will affect outside efforts to stitch an agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan on bringing the Taliban into government.

On Sunday, Rahmatullah Nabil, Afghanistan's deputy national security adviser, was quoted as saying in an interview, "The interesting question is why is a terrorist blacklisted but the person who issues the Fatwa for them [to act] or who provides havens to them not blacklisted?"

He added, "Against these people, organizations at a global scale should unite. People of Afghanistan and the government of Afghanistan will continue their voice of peace, but unfortunately there is not much hope from Pakistan's side and therefore we should be more united, more mobilized, and not be deceived by them." This was the most public outburst from the Afghan government after the chief of the Pakistan Ulema Council Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi declared that the Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan was "legitimate".

Nabil was echoed by Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who, on Monday stated that Islamabad had not taken any "practical steps" towards tackling terrorism in Afghanistan coming from Pakistan.

For those following the minutiae of the reconciliation process, the Afghanistan-Pakistan relationship is not doing as well as it should. It was only a few months ago that the chairman of the High Peace Council, Salahuddin Rabbani took a "peace process roadmap" to Islamabad for support on a reconciliation programme with the Taliban. Western governments have been on an overdrive to get Afghans toe the Pakistani line on a peace process that seeks to accommodate Pakistan's "Taliban" concerns.

Blacklist ISI as a terrorist entity, demands Kabul - The Times of India

The Afghan president himself should be on the blacklist for all of his involvements with the drug lords and drug trade in Afghanistan!

. . .
Even his masters in Brussels and Washington DC would chuck him in a heartbeat once he's outlived his (already diminishing) utility

I wouldn't take any of these statements seriously. It's a standup comedy.

The Afghan president himself should be on the blacklist for all of his involvements with the drug lords and drug trade in Afghanistan!

Well we all know bout that rascal of a brother of his - who ended up getting whacked by his rival warlords

Only hindis can post such BULLSH!T, love it & give it a thumbs up. Everybody knows this current Afghan Govt. is filled with gangsters & puppets of US, not only that they are Pro Indian. So whenever this dog Karzai say something against Pakistan it is done only to please the Indians, as we can see over here in this thread.

Truly India is Pakistan's enemy.

.
Come on man...this news is so repetitive....Karzai got a chance of 10 year with full backing of West with power and money. But rather than using that period to create good will and win the heart of the people, he has gone on the opposite way....So just blaming ISI is not an execuse...Foreign intelligence agency always look after their own intrest...But he should be smart enough to outdo the rest of the agency..

.
Every now and then Afghan openly blame ISI for violence on there land. There are many instances when Afghani Intelligence chief blamed ISI for internal disturbance.

The Double speak of Pakistan is world known. USA kept Pakistan off of there OBL raid. The BBC had made a documentry which shows how ISI's Pakistan Betraying world community and secretly helping enemy of Humanity.

USA is keeping Pakistan out of all its major decision. USA is silent till it withdraw its active troop (not all troops as Pakistani believe), once there major assets are out of Afghan, USA can easily put sanction on Pakistan (Like they did in Past, after withdrawal from Afghan-Soviet war).

Coming days are tough for Pakistan for these reason.

1. Political instability: Imran is not going to form govt on his own, so the Zardaris and Sharifs will remain in power. But the central govt will be weaker. Weaker govt means stronger ISI, stronger ISI means Taliban.
2. Pakistan hating Jihadis: They will be pain in a$$ for next decade in pakistan.
3. America : America is counting its wound, Americans will revenge the betrayal. Pakistan love for Iran and China will make america angry, Angry America means, more trouble..

Good Luck Pakistan...

The kind of confronting a spy agency it has become with many its own cells working like independent Mafia groups, disabling neighbouring nations and its use of strategic strikes and strikes against individuals which is against the UN charter; this should have been done way before.

.
True, international bodies should listen to the concerns for these nations and ban ISI as a terrorist outfit.

look who the hell is speaking who dont have any say in there own country
