Bill Revoking Overseas Pakistanis Voting Rights Presented in National Assembly by Imported Government

I was watching the Jhalsa in Jhelum earlier on - is it me or the crowds were smaller? No doubt it still appeared to be bigger then anything PMLN can muster but compared to Mianwali, Abbotabad it apeared smaller. I won't compare with Lahore or Karachi because of course they are much larger.

Thoughts? Or am I reading too much into this?

It is smaller. People are tired of doing Jalsas. IK isn't saying anything new either. Seems he is still holding back punches. Lets see what happens in the Islamabad March.

. .
All imports are paid in foreign currency such as US dollars so devaluation has no impact on import bill and external debt repayments
... and that was my point. The increase in taxes (that are collected in PKR) will have lesser effect (when PKR is devalued) in its capacity to subsidize the imports. :undecided:

Yeh that does make sense. With rising temperatures and voter fatigue I think IK should have gone on the march by latest 12th. Hit hard when the iron is still hot.

If he hoped that establishment would reconsider then he is wrong. These clowns have always limited horizon. Our GHQ is not made of the brightest but rather mostly those who are good at following. They are at best tacticians and not strategists. All the wars with India have demostrated this clearly.

If Norway does not permit you to be a dual national, then you are responsible for choosing that country. Imran Khan tried to get as many voters as possible by even giving non Pakistani citizens who lived in overseas a right to vote? That's insane! :woot:
Nope. It was overseas Pakistanis that wanted the right to vote for decades but didn't get it. Imran Khan promised them that before 2018 elections and he changed the law to fulfill this election promise. It has nothing to do with PTI vote but voting right for overseas Pakistanis. Stop being a Patwari!

But you are not an overseas Pakistani. You just said Norway does not allow dual nationality. 😒

@Norwegian No idea how old you are but even if IK fails in fact he has brought or laid the seeds of naya Pakistan. What we see now is unprecedented. A whole generation has been mobilized and the futuree belongs to them.

When historians write the history of the demise of dynastic politics and establishment nexus they will note 2022 as the year where it's downfall began.

The days of the army holding sway in the political landscape of Pakistan are also now numbered. A new generation of democrats will rise from this tumult.

@Mangus Ortus Novem I know your also a old timer like me but even if we don't see the fruition of what is being laid we should rejoice at the times we live in.

People are tired of doing Jalsas.
People are not tired of corruption, lotacracy, injustice, lack of exports and productivity for decades but they are tired of few nation awakening Jalsas? Wow what kind of people is this?

But you are not an overseas Pakistani. You just said Norway does not allow dual nationality. 😒
I was born and raised in Pakistan. I have Pakistani origins card (NICOP) and this allows me the right to vote despite having only one Norwegian passport by law!

I thought Pakistani Americans could've voted before imran khan came to power?

Sterling examples from 1965 -

boss we can attack and strangle India at the chicken neck Jammu with one armoured thrust. Kashmir falls in our lap.

but Lahore is only 5 miles of flat terrain from Indian Army. Surely if swe start stangling them and they get desperate will they not kick us in the nuts [Lahore]?

boss no. Not a chance. Oh okay if you say so.

Fast forward 1999.

boss we gonna strangle the Gangus at Kargil and entire Indian Ladakh will fall in our lap.

but surely Gangus will threaten Lahore again and slice off supply to the Kargil redoubts. And will not the world bring pressure on us?

Nah nah. We just got to capture that hill and see what happens. Entire Ganguland will fall apart. Anyway we will pretend is just a few Kashmir gujjars gone stray. Nothing to do with us.

Okay boss if you say so.

This is the strategic depth of our military elite.
