Bill Revoking Overseas Pakistanis Voting Rights Presented in National Assembly by Imported Government

Technically overseas Pakistanis should withdraw every cent from Pakistan and sell off all land as soon as this is passed - along with seeing alternative means of sending funds to their loved ones. Especially the labor class should be encouraged to do so.

Attendance of any Pakistan embassy or consulate events should be brought to a halt and efforts made to declare the current rulers and their supporters persona non grata wherever authority to do exists.
Unless the call comes from Imran Khan, this won't happen. Also, a major portion of the remittances, specially from Middle East goes to the family members.

However, only if overseas Pakistanis decide to stop investment in any project, Pakistan will turn into Sri Lanka soon.

Pakistan Embassy events are anyway attended by very few individuals.

I don't think that you understand what I meant. Overseas workers give money to their families via remittances. This is the majority of your remittance figure. If overseas workers do not transfer money, their wife and kids at home cannot eat.

You don't worry too much about Pakistani families starving. If the people of Pakistan have an ounce of worry about the future of their kids they would oppose the imported government at any cost. What good is a full stomach when your leaders are begging and looting the nation with both hands?

A major potion goes to families, that's right. But a considerable amount also goes into the real estate.

Is there any measure of RE investment in the country from overseas citizens? That would explain if what you want is possible.

There are other lawful ways of sending remittances without enriching the imported government. Expats should explore these options.

I'm not worried by emotional and irrational comments that people may post in the internet. Just making a casual observation about what is feasible and what is not. The 'future of kids' you speak of will not exist if kids are dead by starvation. Just logic.

People can send money for food, clothes but millions is spent on shopping, real estate, housing etc. If they decide we will send minimum and no investment then 30B will be 10B, they also import millions from Pakistan, flour, rice etc. Bangladesh or India could be replaced.

Don't overdramatise things. The people won't starve and turn into zombies. Besides, the expats can bypass the imported government if they send money through alternative ways. Whether we like it or not, the expats have a major influence on the Pakistani economy. This is the right time to put the influence to work.

From GCC countries, specially UAE, not possible. There has been a crackdown going on against Hundi walas.

I'm not trying to dramatize the consequence. It is very likely the case that 80% of remittances are for family upkeep. Just guess work on the figure as I do not have enough idea of reality. Neither has anyone else posted this figure in the forum.

Hawala means of exchange will only happen in a big way when gov. buys and sells currency at different rate. Otherwise, it will always be marginal. You will also expose the country to security vulnerabilities if this route becomes very common.
