bro the guy is a A grade liar. and this isn't even the first time he has lied about this

i remember a couple of years ago Javed Afridi was in mumbai and he uploaded a picture of the gate of SRK's house in mumbai and captioned it "thanks for the Hi tea Sharukh Khan, you are a wonderful host" clearly this was a lie as he would have taken a selfie with SRK had he actually gone inside his house to have tea not just uploading a picture of SRKS house from the outside.

he also uploaded the picture from outside Salman khans house so it was obvious some guy in mumbai was driving him round and showing him these stars houses in Mumbai and Afridi was pretending that he had gone inside the houses and meet with these actors.

im willing to say SRK doesn't even know who Javed Afridi is let alone had him around his house for tea.

However the point remains HOW TO GET THERE. How to develop that acceptance?

Beat them to it unless they come to their senses. Pakistani foreign policy have been weak for far too long and this has led others to believe that they can go against the state of Pakistan with impunity. With Afghanistan Pakistan holds majority of the cards, why did we not use them till they recognise the border and learned to live with it.
My suggestions would be to add severe economic sanctions on Afghanistan that will choke the life out of them, something on the lines of what Israel does with Palestine. Surgical strikes from time to time on terrorist hideouts inside Afghanistan. If Afghanistan intervenes military than take their military out as well. Taking out NDS members by covert means. Isolating them internationally. Pakistan does hold more clout than Afghanistan. All Afghans living inside Pakistan as free citizens and enjoying out hospitality while continue to badmouthing us should be stopped and they need to be either put in camps or deport them.
Last but not the least any attack inside Pakistan just leads back to Afghanistan should immediately be responded by a quick and decisive military action not just against terrorist hideouts but also against their sponsors in Afghan government.
The cost of Afghan misadventures should be made so high that they think at least 10 times before doing it. No more muslim brotherhood crap. They need to be dealt with an iron hand.

Understood and I respect you opinion in this regard. Just to give you an idea, I am originally from Taxila (originally as in born and brought up over there) and half of the population is Pathan. I do not see may people more patriotic than the Pakhtoons of Pakistan. So I can understand when you say that the problem is with the Afghans as our side of the Pathans are quite nice people. IN fact, my best friend is a Pathan from Swat and nobody hates the Afghans for there policies and back stabbing habits like he does!

For the main point that you have raised, YES, I totally agree with the point that unless there is clear understanding and acceptance from the Afghan side we won’t become the best friends that we should be. However the point remains HOW TO GET THERE. How to develop that acceptance? To be fair, we cannot accept that to happen overnight, like a miracle, in Afghanistan. To clear the doubts and to create understanding, EVENTUALLY, we will have to work together. Yes the current regime there is far from workable and debate and dialogue may not bear any fruit but still the fact is that eventually it will have to be done this way, through debate and dialogue! Besides, the current regime do not have any kind of control over the country anyway so it is pointless. What I think is most appropriate is to come to an understanding that they won’t let their soil be used against Pakistan, that Pakistan will help stabilize Afghanistan and once that is established and the gov. do have some actual control over their country we will then need to create that acceptance and understanding so that the can accept the reality. Also I wont lose all hope here. I am always of the view that we cannot judge the whole nation/population by the actions of those sitting in Kabul. They got there by chance. It is a case like Bangladesh. The current gov. there is so much anti-Pakistan but that do not mean that all Bangladeshi people are anti-Pakistan!

I dont question the loyalty of the vast majority of Pakthuns on our side one bit, and will never use any kind of generalization against that community (even though bad apples like Achakzai with their "Afghanistan is our country" comments exist), as they do in any community.

With regards to the question "how to get there", we have tried the "nice" way since 1947 now, i.e. underplaying all the aggressive behaviour of Afghanistan (HRK recently started a thread on this in the History section, https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/the-exemplary-show-of-hospitality-by-afghan-forces-1951.479975/). Afghan incursions and attacks in Bajaur as well as them giving shelter to terrorist movements like the BLA, are basic facts that the vast majority of Pakistanis dont know. Why? Because the state has always hoped that somewhere down the line, Kabul will fall into line and things will normalize on the Western border. 70 years onwards, all I can say is that this is a fools hope.

IMO the only way countries like Afghanistan fall into line is if you show them your dominance. If you play nice with them, they will bite your hand off. We are the stronger country and need to dictate the terms, rather than being push overs. Forget the third world, no country in the developed world either has given refuge to millions of refugees from another country. Only Pakistan has done this, again in the hopes that Afghans will treat us like their "bhai". The reality is that they see us as a hostile force, which is why even the Taliban government there never accepted the border, because they knew this would cause a huge backlash from the populace they were ruling over.

Good move. Afghan and Pakistani Pashtuns need to forge closer ties to remove misunderstandings and work for our common culture/language/heritage. I hope to see more interaction and colloboration in other fields as well. State boundries and the menace of terrorism should not be allowed to get in the way of our socio cultural ties which would only weaken Pashtun identity and unity.
I also support closer cultural ties with Tajikistan/Iran for our Farsi speaking Afghans. Colonial drawn borders should never be allowed to create divide between peoples who share so much.

That's jolly, but how about dismantling Indian terror consulates across the border? Also, how about changing the Afghan anti-Pakistan stance? This brotherhood BS won't work. Show us by meaningful action that you are committed to peace and a good relationship with Pakistan. Pakistani Pashtun are Pakistani. Their allegiance lies with Pakistan. We are not going to befriend an enemy that claims to seek better relations with us, yet continue to bite like a venomous snake at every opportunity.

Also, don't question our intentions. We have hosted Afghans for decades upon decades when the entire world looked the other way. Not anymore. Unless the Kabul regime doesn't change its hostile attitude towards Pakistan, brotherhood between Pakistanis and Afghans is a pipe dream.

Javed Afridi think this will make Zalmi more popular. He goes all the way get (by paying them) celebrity support, do you seriously think Nargis Fakhri care about cricket let alone know Zalmi or PSL? Same way Afghanis supporting Zalmi is great for PSL, more support mean more revenues for PSL eventually. See Indians payed more to watch PSL final on live streaming website then Pakistanis.

So if the franchise is to be believed, Shah Rukh not only never called up Javed Afridi but he doesn’t even know Peshawar Zalmi won the PSL. Hell, he doesn’t even know what the PSL or Peshawar Zalmi are — albeit that last claim does seem a bit of a stretch considering the success of the league. From there it doesn’t take a huge leap of faith to assume that Shah Rukh doesn’t even know Javed Afridi exists.
