If Lahore won would the chief minister of Indian Punjab be inviting the Lahore team to Amritsar? Or if Quetta won would the Sistan Baluchistan minister be inviting the Quetta team to Zahedan?
Even if they did I am sure these teams would never consider going there. I am guessing Zalmi owner put up the Afghanistan flag to get more fans, as more fans = more cash from a commercial POV, but Ghani and co are doing this simply to assert territorial claim over KPK, the same province and people therein they sold out to the Sikhs to save their own asses. You are being a bit unfair on Javed. He has put a lot of money into Pakistan cricket. He has sponsored a number of Pakistan series and took care of the players in the last world cup in New Zealand. Lets not doubt his loyalty.

There is nothing wrong with accepting the invitation. It will improve goodwill between the two nations. But the team must make sure that they visibly represent Pakistan to negate any attempt by the Afghan government to promote the idea that KP belongs to Afghanistan. You know, I would have no issue if Afghanistan didn't claim KPK as theirs. But for them, KPK is their part, for Peshawer Zalmi to then fly Afghan flag in their promotions and go running to pay homage to the Afghan president is a strange way to "just win fans".
