The stuff they showed at Air Show China was conceptual. There was no actual product tag, performance spec sheet, or anything else that one would expect from a product that's ready for sale. We can contrast this with other Chinese hardware, such as the LY-80, VT-4, etc.Are we sure they're still in development? To promote & exhibit such systems at trade shows seem to suggest that these HMDs are ready to go; this would also go hand-in-hand with the fact that the Chinese have been developing HMD systems for many years.
So there is absolutely no off-the-shelf option - not even Thales (TopOwl-F) or BAE Systems (Striker II)? And "FGF" - Is that the next-generation fighter program?A prototype has been in development with starts and stops, we may see a test-type in third block but its development will definitely continue in FGF. No one will sell sensor deployment technology to us.
