India has every right to choose the winner on merits and demerits.

On the face of it, it does look like the govt went a bit too far since they could have easily raised import taxes. but since the Chinese companies also bring in their workers, it also poses security challenges as these companies are state owned (the article mentions this). If I may hazard a guess, it might be a way to mount pressure on china to reduce its import tariffs over time so foreign companies (Indian and others) can also access Chinese market. anyway lets see how this plays out, chinese govt hasn't retaliated yet (as they did wrt. the telecom ban) so may be its not a big deal for them.

No, Ban Came because Indian markets were Affected, and Yes, To survive we had to ban that particula chinese product, and decided to go for domestic as its better quality but a bit costly compared to chinese...

India has not banned chinese trade, but that particular product.... And Our Local Products only fall On Subsidy not on quality dear

Correct statement is India needs only quality products.

The so called companies are not in danger and is huge compared to the chinese companies and i can provide their balance sheet if u ask me.

One thing more that is unrelated to the topic is that i don't agree with the statement that Indians don't want Chinese stuff.If they really didn't wanted it the Chinese would not be in India in the first place.
