Afghanistan's enemy is Pakistan's enemy, says army chief

I'm a Baluch... And other Pakistanis are my brothers... Now in my culture you treat a guest with dignity .. hence ...... And I hope there are similiar traditions where you come from... So dnt abuse other members.

Abu Zulfiqar whom you were quoting is a Pashtun....

Respectable ? You know how many million of your respectable kind was and is still living here? As I said .. Be polite .. You are a guest here.. act like one.
The noorzai are a tribe in Afghanistan meaning our (bitchy) little friend is from Afghanistan. Don't ask. I have seen the hatred they have for us.

Sta sa problem da?

Do you know how to have a healthy debate? You have been abusing others ever since you came here. This is not pashtunforums. If you continue like this you will go pink in less than a day.

Afghanistan was used as a tool by us Pakistanis, Saudis and Americans to defeat the Soviets. We acknowledge this and it was wrong. However living in the past is not ideal to our condition. Afghans and Pakistanis both have a problem with fanaticism and terrorism in our society. We can either beat it together or be sucked into the quagmire of the past.

@Sabawoon_Noorzai
You guys have a habit of fighting among yourselves and putting the blame on Pakistan. When you people become civilized enough, our relations will become exemplary and that would be great for both countries.

la ter oosa deer wakht dai. We have to see the results. Your policy makers are still playing games. If Pakistan was sincere we would see the results immediately. Lets see. I wish the best for both countries.

Unfortunately, we can't completely trust Afghanistan. We must remember even before our involvement in Afghan land, the Afghans were aggressively supporting Pakhtuns and separatists who wanted to break away. Is it a surprise that 10 years after we lost East Pakistan due to both Indian and Soviet support that we decided to go into Afghanistan to prevent another civil war?

Desertfighter,

The arrogance and impoliteness I see in this forum is completely something else and beyond me. What is wrong with you people? This is not the normal Pakistanis I know. What are you guys trying to prove? I have respect for people like you, I only insult those who is one way or the other insulting me.

Listen my friend, Pakistanis blame Afghans for drawing the Americans to the region to cause war. This is why Pakistan economy has failed and bombs going off everywhere. Pakistan did not have a single suicide attack in its history before 9/11.

I remember Pakistan in the 80s and 90s to be so peaceful and a nice enviornment. I miss those days and so do others. People are bitter.

However Pakistan has also done wrong and Afghans are bitter over this. Everybody blames everybody.

Now that US has f**ked off finally, both countries need to work together to make peace so the good times can come back.

There is nothing Pakistanis would like more is a strong, stable and prosperous Afghanistan. All the refugees can go back too so win win for everyone.

Pakistan was used as a tool itself. We are not talking about the Russian and Afghan war in which Pakistan was used as a tool by USA, for us it was our war and weren't any body's tool. Stop giving sanctuary and support to terrorists like Haqanis and Taliban etc.

Our blame and the entire world's blame has been Pakkistan's state sponsor terrorism. Ask Musharaf he will tell you all about it.

US provoked Soviet Union to invade Afghanistan.

If it wasn't for Pakistan and US, Afghanistan would have lost this war.

Appreciate our efforts to help a brother nation out rather than think like this.

Your army encouraged Mullah Omar to not hand over Bin Laden who was then found Abod Abad. Do you somehow think that your own policy nurturing terrorists makes you responsible for the 141 school kids who were slaughtered? Pathetic.

Being fallow Muslim country Afghanistan should have been friendly neighbor but she used to create troubles for Pakistan from day one and always been launching pad for our enemies. I don't know why you guys are singing apologetic tone, Pakistan did what she thought is suitable to safeguard her interest (the policy didn't worked well is different thing). Afghans like it or not doesn't matter but the fact is cooperation is mutual, they stop being tool of our enemies, we will stop meddling in their affairs.

So we are a brother nation now after all now? We fought our own war and you did what was in your interest. You role was merely the logistics.

Well, we could have always been brother countries. Sadly, as LoveIcon mentions, it was Afghanistan which decided to pursue an aggressive stance.

This blame game reminds me of old times. So called muslim brotherhood went down the drain... we thought so much about it and look how things turned out. We should never have interfered in Afghanistan, be it the Soviet Afghan war or even this war. Remaining neutral was best. But who can say no to daddy America?

To be honest, the only reason Pakistan is suffering is because our top brass were foolish enough to use Pakistan itself as a launching pad for militants. A crazy and suicidal idea which has crippled us.

Merely?

Pakistan could have taken the easy option and do what Iran did and sell out to the Soviets.

Iranian mullahs were saying "let them in, this is Gods will".

Pakistanis instead stood with Afghans and helped. Then took in million of refugees. Pakistan has the largest amount of refugees in the world.

Instead of appreciating these efforts you ridicule? And you wonder why Pakistanis act in the way they do.

Do some soul searching man.

We never were. Supporting and sympathy towards the same Pashtuns who not long ago had come into government in KPK (ANP) does not equal to aggression. We could have easily attacked Pakistan during your wars with India but we didn't.
