2011 Poverty Rates in South Asia

It is you who is in denial mode . Look above Roy has busted the myth you are trying to propagate.

See my third last post... Roy and Abir was busted earlier but they have brought the same issue. Anyway I am asking a simple question what is the percentage of people in India below poverty line not who busted whom.

.
It will be better if anyone can provide the details what is the present percentage of people poverty line in India as present figures are showing it is from 32% to as high as 77% and most of the Indians are in denial mode of this data ... I am asking for it for some time but no response.

It's official: 37 pc live below poverty line - India News - IBNLive

Two other reports had pegged poverty at higher levels. The Arjun Sengupta report had said 77 per cent of Indians live on less than Rs 20 a day while the N C Saxena Committee report had said 50 per cent of people live below poverty. However, the Tendulkar report with a figure of at 37 per cent, is perhaps more acceptable to the government.

If its official , stop posting these in all threads and move on to some other topic rather than putting the copy pastes on Indian poverty all the time.

Thats showing the data of 1004-2005...

(Poverty (Below National Poverty Line 2004-05*))

I am asking for 2011 data.

Official poverty estimates for 2009-10 are not yet available but preliminary estimates suggest that in 2009-10 the combined all India poverty rate was 32% compared to 37% in 2004-05.

I said already it is in between 32-77%. Can you provide the link for WB as the figure 32% that I now has been proposed by government based on anyone earn 30 rupee a day will not be considered as poor. But due to heavy protest government has withdrawn the data. So, just wondering to what extent it is valid.

Anyway why cursing???******
