WB Poverty Update: India is the Biggest Contributor to Increased Global Poverty in 2023

I know many people who visit India and Pak and say the same thing. Indians should kill javed akhter for speaking facts.
If India is considered to have a lower economic status than Pakistan, it raises questions about why India exhibits significantly higher average life expectancy and notably lower rates of infant and maternal mortality compared to Pakistan. One would expect that increasing prosperity would translate into improved standards of living and consequently better healthcare outcomes. Furthermore, the consumption metrics per capita—such as electricity, fuels, automobiles, household appliances, air passenger traffic, and the extensive network of roads and railways—clearly indicate that India surpasses Pakistan by a substantial margin.

Maybe because the stats are fake just in the case of Bangladesh. Two countries with much higher pollution levels than Pakistan but have lower infant mortality?

Both these countries are known to fake their stats time and again.

Like the saying goes never believe indias numbers, any of them. It never has any tangible results on the ground to back those numbers up. There is a difference between ground realities and numbers on papers. What is your take on Javed Akhtars observation ? He is just one them there are many others.

Is it even possible to manipulate data related to fuel and electricity usage, air passenger traffic, automobile consumption, smartphone adoption, household appliance usage, etc.? For instance, the annual car sales in India are 21 times higher than those in Pakistan.

How is it possible for a nation to falsify data regarding the sale of cars, household appliances, smartphones, air passenger traffic, and the extent of road and railway networks?

Basically India is a overpopulated poverty-stricken slum

Everyone knows this

BUT at the top level they a stable government system, atleast some nationalist parties not concerned about personal or family wealth

And even if they don't have cross nation success they are creating economic development for a proportion which gives them money to spend so they can spend on defence, sports, infrastructure even if hundreds of millions suffer in poverty

In Pakistan we have no change, sharifs, Bhutto's, sardars, wadereas, wali, mullah diesel, the endless same namak haram and generals at the top

The establishment in Pakistan is made up of these clowns and a bunch of rich, elite families and class then holds the nation ransom and won't allow change

Jared Akhtar should have gone to Arab countries where 90% beggars are from Pakistan.

90% of beggars arrested abroad turned out to be Pakistani nationals

Indians have the world's largest poor population while only people who use electricity, passenger tickets, automobiles, smart phones etc.

They don't represent the average Bharatis. Most Bharatis are struggling just to survive. This is the same old argument.

Indians basically are victims of their own BS, they live in denial, there are non Pakistanis on this forum who have visited both India and Pak, they call India an absolute horror story compared to Pak.. JA is not the only Indian there are many that paint the same picture.

BTW, Indian BS is nothing new its a 30 years old story, just listen and move on. 😀

46% of Indian population uses smartphones. See the smartphone stats above.

If you remove the kids and people above 70, this number goes above 60%

How can something which 60% population is doing not represent average Bharti.

And something which one in thousand person is doing be an average Indian???

In my home in India, maids come to do the dishes and cleaning and generally carry smartphones.

Like these random Armenians & Georgians who've never even been there. @Fionikas check out the comments. The Bharatis there are claiming Armenia survived the war because of Indian weapons. I'm kind of confused at this point:

Indians are a unique kind of a fruit cake.

Do you believe that figures like 225 registered motor vehicles per thousand population, 46% of the population owning smartphones, and 327 million annual air passengers in a country of 1.2 billion people do not reflect the average Bharatiya?
