I guess I am the only one so far that has voted for option "Pakistan should grant them citizenship and keep them permanently".
such blanket policy isnt feasible as the boarder is open, if you do so, expect 30-40 million people getting nationality!

. .
Afghan refugees in our country are not on PICNIC or Entertainment itinerary
.
There country is burning in WAR and they've no other option except us.....they're not staying in my HOME....or in my street....they're living mercilessly in open sky under severe weather condition (called Afghan Basti) .....they can never apply for any JOB...they are not allowed to take admissioin in Gov Schools....they;ve no right to PROTEST for their basic rights.......we hate them screw them for what?? ...If some of their Bad Guys are involved in illegad trade .then what??....We do have much bigger prominent Hard Nut Crackers like MQM, Zardari....(its no point of debate...its total lawlessness issue)
.
.
Look Guys...Our foundation of Independence under Jinnah was laid on what Principles??

Under the Principle....Mohajirs from india are allowed to migrate in Pak Lands....but same cant be done to Afghans....?? highly selfish attitude

What a loaded poll, it's not even worth voting on.

Give citizenship to those that have contributed to Pakistani society, through businesses, paying taxes...etc. Offer citizenship to those that would agree to join Pakistan's security forces (kind of like a foreign legion); Send the rest back.

If given a choice, I can say with some certainty that many would renounce their Afghan citizenship and declare their loyalty to Pakistan.

. .
Anyone who doesn't swear an oath of loyalty to Pakistan etc etc should be sent back with out a doubt.
Just a question are there any notable Afg refugees in Pakistan who have done something for Pakistan (join the Military, politics...)?

Pakistan should grant them citizenship and keep them permanently .

I am not in favour of chucking all the Afghans out but I would say 80% of them should be deported.

We need to categorise Afghans. Those living here since generations should be given Pakistani citizenship, those living post 9/11 should be given temporary permits until further extension leading to citizenship and those who has come in last few years and eating up the jobs of Pakistanis should be considered deporting

The final decision might rest on case by case basis but the preference should to be deport as many as possible

First secure the border with Afghanistan...then repatriation will be making some sense...

Iran has 3 million too. Pakistan has 200 million people, another 3 million won't hurt. The Afghans have no bad intentions. They just want to make a living in peace and quiet. They'll be speaking Urdu within a generation, and you won't be able to distinguish them from any other Pakistani. I'd say let them stay.

excellent thought but not feasible as we have no records of there births or anything, we simply cannot decide who were born here and who were not, or who even lived here, that is the down side of such an open policy towards all the refugees since 80s...we can find record of only high end educated afghans in our schools that it..whom mostly are fanatically anti pakistan
