With BECA, India Will be US’ De Facto Military Ally

south korea japan etc didnt find it unreliable. Only pakistan did who played the doubled sided game and thought it could get away.
Pakistan was left by its friend and ally America in the middle and then Amerca selected India as its partner against China and asked Pakistan to accept Indian hegemony in the region. Pakistan has no choice but to join China, with whom it already had an exemplary relationship. sooner India will taste American Hypocrisy. America has no friends, it has only interests, once it gets these, it refuses to recognize them.

Elhamdulillah!!! A great relief for Pak!!!

A known enemy is better than an unknown friend.....

India has been Pak's problem; now, she's become all others' problem....

As for the USA, she has got allies like India by tons. As for China, she has got allies like Pak by ones....

The only use to India for the US is that it has hundreds of millions of soldiers to be used against the Chinese as cannon fodder. The US will just sit back and relax while throwing Indians at Chinese bullets.
But, the Indians back off even if they lose 2 jets or 20 soldiers....

Poor Pentagon Boys - great at planning but poor at the execution....

They are betting on the wrong horse.

India will sign a key military pact -- BECA or Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement -- with the United States.

"Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and US Defence Secretary Mark Esper confirmed the agreement of BECA will be signed during the visit," the defence ministry said, in a statement on Monday.

India and US have already signed Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA) in 2018, Logistics Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) in 2016, General Security Of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) in 2002.

BECA is the last of the four foundational agreements agreed upon, and will allow for expanded geospatial information sharing between American and Indian armed forces.

Esper and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are in New Delhi for 2+2 meet. The visit is significant given it comes amid Chinese aggression on the border and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Rajnath Singh and Esper held a bilateral meeting on Monday.

Thank God, India has chosen a side, no more walking the streets late at night.

And, now she can't play both sides, as in the previous cold War.

Just watch China investing her efforts, technology, finance and all towards Pakistan. 5th largest country in the world, heck China wants Pakistan by it's side. We just need sort out our bloody politicians. Knock their heads together.
they will sign one by one all pacts just wait

I thought they already had, this was the last of the 4 main agreements.

America has no friends, it has only interests, once it gets these, it refuses to recognize them.
Great, our relationship is going to work perfectly. India too does not have any friends, only national interests.
That's how we can be on normal terms with Israel, Iran, KSA, Russia, the US, and even China when it comes to trade. Right now our national interest aligns with the US interests, we will take maximum benefit of this relationship. US is not one US, it has EU and Aus, Japan, S Korea behind it. Interesting times ahead.

Time for China to sign a defense pact with Pakistan and show the world who is the rising Super Power.

Last week, the US said it was watching the India-China standoff in Ladakh closely to ensure that the situation did not escalate

New Delhi:
India will gain access to precision data and topographical images - on a real time basis - from United States military satellites under an agreement to be signed during the ongoing visit of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defence Secretary Mark Esper.

The agreement to share this data - BECA (Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement) - is the third and final "foundational" understanding the US has with close international partners. The two countries have already signed agreements to exchange military logistics and enable secure communications.

In a statement released on Monday the government said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his American counterpart, Mr Esper, expressed satisfaction that BECA would be signed during this visit and also at the close engagements between the armed forces of the two countries.

They also reviewed bilateral defence spanning military-to-military cooperation, secure communications systems and information sharing, and also discussed potential new areas of cooperation.

Rajnath Singh said the talks would add "new vigour" to India-US defence relations and cooperation.

Mr Esper also welcomed Australia's participation in next month's Malabar exercise - a series of annual drills that began in 1992 to reinforce cooperation between Indian and American naval forces.

India, with the US, Japan and Australia will hold the high-level Malabar naval exercise next month. Australia is returning to these exercises for the first time since 2007 when its participation drew criticism from China.

Last week, the US said it was watching the India-China standoff in Ladakh closely and sharing information with Delhi. The US said it wanted to ensure that the situation did not escalate.

Mike Pompeo and Mark Esper are in India for the third edition of the 2+2 talks with their Indian counterparts - Rajnath Singh and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. These dialogues come days before the US votes in national polls, with President Donald Trump bidding for re-election.

Ahead of the talks, which are scheduled to start on Tuesday and will include discussions on regional security cooperation, military-to-military interaction and defence trade, the US State Department said it welcomed India's emergence as a leading regional and global power.

The first 2+2 talks were held in Delhi in September 2018 and the second in Washington, D.C. in 2019.

Wow, enjoy that perfect relationship, soon you will taste the betrayal too, whence you need the second Most. We are more than happy without such arm twisting friend, who damn care about your contribution.while all the time asking for do more. Pakistan and China are great friends and neighbors, our relationship had gone through a tough test of times but no betrayal at any one part. A genuine friend, who stands by you, everyone loves to have.

What makes you think China won't dump Pakistan just like America did ?
