What's new

why not a new G7?

Since G7 consists of so-called developed countries. Why don't those developing countries form a new type of G7 organization?

For example, the following developing countries can well be good founding members for such an organization to counter the G7's exploitation.
(1) China
(2) Russia
(3) India
(4) Brazil
(5) Mexico
(6) South Africa
(7) Indonesia

It can also be named G7 South (From Chairman Mao's South-South Cooperation)
Should be called the J-7 (for joke) Are they gonna make steel in their back yards? Grorious 5 year plans and all?

I never understand Chinese people.

You don't need to understand us, you just need to understand geopolitics.

Our greatest threat is America and their global hegemony. Followed by their lapdog Japan.

India is a long way from becoming any kind of peer rival, their economy right now is only about 1/4 the size of Japan's.

Maybe India is a threat to South Asian nations, but not to us. We are far more powerful, and we have the high ground on the Tibetan Plateau, which is an unassailable defensive advantage.

Anyone who can stand up to American hegemony will be useful in forging a new multi-polar world, free from this uni-polar nonsense we are currently experiencing.

Shouldn't BRICS include few east European nations, because growth is still in those regions and they might offer political and diplomatic influence of BRICS in those markets.

Not really, the so-call political and diplomatic influence wielded by those countries worth very little in the big picture. None of them have economy or resource that is sufficient to influence large areas and you don't need to make them a member just to gain their market. Heck, many of them couldn't even maintain their own political stability and sovereignty.

The only reason South Africa is in BRICS is because it represent a port of access to African continent and we already have Russia in East Europe. South Africa is also thousands of miles away from any major power and East Europe sits in the smack middle of EU and Russia.

This is why I say I would welcome Indonesia. It is large enough to offer enough resource and market. It also doesn't have any overly powerful neighbors.

Should be called the J-7 (for joke) Are they gonna make steel in their back yards? Grorious 5 year plans and all?

You are aware that the country that run those five year plans currently have steel production capacitance equal to the next 32 countries combined right?

Right now in international politics, USA, China, and Russia are the top tier. Next tier is UK, French, Japan, and Germany. 3rd level is India, Brazil, Indonesia. 4th is Austrailia, Italy, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea. 5th is like Vietnam level.

As we can see, in this G7, there are 2 top tier, 3 third tier, and 2 fourth tier. In comparison, in the current G7, they have 1 top tier, 2 fourth tier, and the rest 4 dominated by 2nd tier. G7 is influential due to this large bloc of 2nd tier.

The better question is, why would we want to emulate a dogsh!t grouping like the G7, when far more relevant international institutions exist.

G8.

Seriously though, we already have the SCO and BRICS for this purpose.

This is correct. In addition, the G20 should be added to the list.

We are with Japan. They have more tech than all the so called bric countries.

The so-called G-7 is actually not far from joke-7 standard.

Should be called the J-7 (for joke) Are they gonna make steel in their back yards? Grorious 5 year plans and all?

Chinese people are not that shallow to make you understand.

But why try and help "Carthage" economically when you know there will be a conflict with them in the future? I never understand Chinese people. Money is important, but money with a potential enemy is another.

Chinese-Dragon will probaly chime in and say," we have business dealings with US, Japan and they are our enemies." But that is different because China had no economy when they opened trade with US, Japan. Look at china now, they are challenging their rivals.

Does China want a pro-Western nation like india to become strong economically with 1billion warmongering people with younger demographics to be next door? Remember, two tigers cannot share the same road.
