I am on a mission these days. Where ever i go like bank or other institutions i speak punjabi with staff. They try to speak with me in urdu but I reply them in punjabi. Even punjabis are forgetting to speak in punjabi.
It made me sad We punjabis are abandoning our mother tongue.
Punjab gov should implement punjabi as spoken Office language of punjab.

That alone wouldn't be enough. Teaching Urdu in schools in Punjab should be completely banned for at least a decade. And teaching Punjabi in schools in Punjab must be made compulsory. And only that electronic media (TV channels) should be allowed to operate in Punjab, whose mode of communication is in Punjabi only and not in Urdu.

Please janab, we don't want to chase non-Punjabis from Punjab and galvanize N into an Indian sponsored PanjabDesh, please. We have enough idiot Aman ki Asha snakes in Punjab.

We simply have to promote Punjabi as an intellectual language, it means write sophisticated poetry, novels, history books in Punjabi and upgrading Punjabi media (movies, dramas, and news.)

Remember, in Europe certain languages like German, French, and English were seen as filthy and backwards by the Roman empire. Look at those languages today. People all around the world study them.
