to be fair I think she was in the right..I think she is a native urdu speaker or sindhi speaker and she might have had gotten a vague inkling that this policeman may have used some sort of expletive..She rose up and fought back..good on her and bless her soul. Its better if women are feisty than the standard demure behaviour that is expected of women from south Asia...and knowing the how thuggish,vulgar,boorish police can get in a few south Asian countries (including and especially India) I am more than willing to believe this woman...I think only near mono-ethnic countries like Bhutan,Maldives and Bangladesh have good amiable police in the South asian context

Has it ever happened to you, that not all Gangu men are married to Gangu women?.... Urdu is our National Language.. must in Schools. Sindh teaches Sindhi and other provinces somehow tried to adopt regional language curriculum as well. However, there is no offense to speak any language and the one who can't understand, simply pardons himself with request to speak in Urdu.

Without hearing the context, one cannot take sides, but Punjabi is seen as a lesser language now, sadly. And the Punjabi parents are to be blamed for this, we tell our children from a young age to not speak in Punjabi, when all other ethnic groups proudly own their mother tongue. It's sad that a beautiful language like Punjabi is slowly dying.

OK, only now I have watched the video, couldn't watch when I was in office. I read few comments which suggested that policeman said something bad in Punjabi.. and the language wasn't the problem, it was a particular word that pissed the woman off..

But after watching the video, I believe she deserves the kind of disrespect she is getting on social media. Probably police didn't say anything.. she was just doing a drama to get away from a fine.

Punjabi is indeed a beautiful language..

Of course, I am a urdu speaker and everyone likes his own language, but after Urdu, I like Punjabi.. (I am not including Arabic as it is Quranic language and shouldn't be compared with any language of the world).

Punjabi is one of the best languages if not the best.. Don't know why Punjabis are not promoting this language.. It should be taught in Schools in Punjab and people who discourage its use should be discouraged.

Arabic is quite a simple and beautiful language, i would still call it such even if it wasn’t the language of Quran, means it is quite a good language, divinity is another plus point
