Why China's upcoming visit should be viewed w/ caution.

Health warning - wear a mask when you are out and about in china, make sure not to taste their milk or buy their lead infested toys for your kids.

Good one! All the countries trading with them should issue such warnings to their Citizen. After all health is the top priority for all.

well it also happens to be a warning their own citizens also adhere to...

Their milk-a ring belled too hard in some corner of Beijing when we banned it here in India

Then came the Chinese cell phones fiasco and their dumped toys.

meanwhile GoI had instructed to NTPC to purchase generators only manufactured in India,NTPC-India's biggest electricity supplier.

Some arrogant bunch in china think they can forever maintain this trade surplus through their protectionism,i am sure they had yet not seen Indian protectionism,I want to see how far it will go

Oh yeh,I think it was the Chinese themselves who were using "MADE IN INDIA" label on the pharmaceutical goods to market it in Nigeria before getting busted and eventually dumped.

there you go to show your arrogance or cultural ineptness. that's what every president says in every visit to every country. Its the actions that speak louder than words. and the US actions are slow them down and go Pro India 100%.

All those markets won't be adding much to you, especially if you dump those treasuries. Look at the list of the countries- everyone of those dislikes China. you tried to bully all of them with your overtly aggressive stance. didn't Taiwan just buy weapons from the Us and piss you guys into another whine fest.

That's why i always told- you guys are the new rich , but your arrogance towards other nations will always hold you back.

The true cultural ineptness lies in the fact that some country is not able to produce the things that are useful to the Chinese.

In fact, the Chinese are running world around shopping goods

Why they are not interested in Indian goods? If you have brain, you know the answer: though you good at badmouthing, your product sucks!

I fail to understand why this clown keeps slapping on his own face

The 2010 Environmental Performance Index (EPI) ranks 163 countries on 25 performance indicators tracked across ten policy categories covering both environmental public health and ecosystem vitality.

Yes, the pollution is bad in China. But if you wear mask in China, you need to wear double masks in India.

Don't take it to heart, Mate. He was only talking about China he never commented about India. BTW I don't think your govt lets the real info passed on to world and media. So based on whatever little they could gather they ranked you. So i will take the ranking with grain of salt.

BTW milk and lead infested toys were not the only thing that came to the light

Your latest defective export was Drywall

Read the report

Latest defective product from China: Drywall

I am sure if you search you can compile a big list of items.

I have no doubt that many item made in china is not so "good". But Is it really a suprise that item quality are not so good, when they are so cheep?! Don't know about other ppl,but if I buy a cola that is 1/10 price of Coca Cola, I know there is a reason for that. Same as a car,milk,mp3 player .... quastion about defective product, I wonder how didn't those that made order don't wonder HOW does these chinese factory could made those item so cheep.

And the little schadenfreude you guys are having about chinese defective product.
For a country that had freedom and democracy and capitalism way befor china, simple fact is,that your country should have been way better then China. But so many your child are underweight and suffer from malnutrition, the literacy rate is only 64.8% and still having caste system... As both are one of the oldest civilization in world,it's just sad so many ppl on both side consider otherside are the enemy, and having fun at other sides expanse.

Yes, people were buying your junk and are realizing a good product is more worth the money than the 100 junk Chinese products that may come in the price but would not last more than 100 days. LOL!!

With this realization I want my Govt to levy more Tariffs on such junk so people don't get attracted to it due to price.

Good products are comming with good price. I dont think selling high-end products in a country with 60% poverty rate can work out money.:smitten: Your importers are very sarmt mate, they come to china only seek low price goods and indeed that is what your poor pll need. Our good products are for who can pay for them. If you wanna cry on these, go to cry on your smart importers.:cheesy:

Let's keep poor India out of debate as of now. Can you tell me why the rich European countries and US complains about quality of your products. I gave an example of drywall in my last post. Second example will be Lenovo..Ever since IBM sold Thinkpad to Lenovo, the laptop has lost all its credibility and now the hardware keeps crashing every now and then. Mind it original Thinkpad was considered one sturdy trustworthy Lappy and now after Lenovo take over lots of US companies are switching over from Thinkpad to other manufacturers. Did that ring a bell for you ultra rich Chinese?

For the bold part:

We have been a Democracy right from 1947 but our democracy till 1991 was socialist in nature and markets were conservative and closed for outside investments. Its only in 1991 our now PM Manmohan singh opened our markets and taking us on the path of progress. Mind it with all the constraints like poverty, literacy rate etc we are still giving challenge to the world. Wait for another decade and you will see unprecedented improvement in all the areas .

Now for the second part, I respect China and Chinese civilization and the relation our civilizations have shared but it becomes very annoying to see Chinese talking nonsense about my country.
