What's new

Why are we so adamant in our support for Palestine when they themselves support India against us?

You will struggle. Contrary to what my pan Islamist Pakistani brothers say Turkce ve Urdu cok different :D:D Lol spent some time in Turkey. Beautiful country y'all have got.

Still remember the metro train announcement. M2 line Istanbul. Gelecek Istanbul Dorduncu Levent lol
I wouldn't waste my time with the script at least :enjoy:

Pakistan's raison d'être is to be Muslim, there's no other way round, there would not have been any partition, they're not even homogenous like Turkey.
A unique brand of religion can work like the Wahhabism work for Saudis or Shi'ism for Iran.

Most of Afghanistan and Pakistan are Sunni Hanafi Muslim. That also happens to be the main religious ideation of Turkey and CARs.

.
Yeah. Yet, they need to find a national identity. If they haven't formed one after half a century, they will never be able to form one. Many other countries have become sovereign nations in Europe and Asia and almost all of them have been able to form their own identities. Look at Eastern Europe or the Caucasus for example.

Shi'ism does not play a role in the Iranian identity. The Iranian identity that unifies Iranians is based on Nowruz, the Yalda Eve, the Persian Literature (Hafiz, Khayyam, Mowlana, Sa'di, Ferdowsi, etc.) and the Iranian history from the Median Empire to the 1979 revolution.

At some point we will find a identity of our own we are maturing albeit slowly but it will occur hopefully when I am old the generations and kids I have wont be making crazy stories how they are related to Arabs,Turks or Persians

The ethnic composition of said union will make it fall apart quickly than the USSR could ever done

Exactly. And the story can be very easy like this:

Hey kids, we used to be a part of British India. But we thought we were oppressed and we wanted our own independence because we wanted to practice a different religion. Then we became an independent country. We have people like Iqbal Lahori and Abdus Salam and they're famous in the region and even in the world. We have good engineers. We built an atomic bomb. Blah blah blah.

Croatians did it, Serbs did it, Ukrainians have done it, etc. It's not like rocket science.

So were those machar jhol eating Bongs. Wasn't enough to bind us eh? Lol don't be fooled into thinking you will find religious fraternity in Turkey and CAR on the basis of Sunnism. They are through and through secular people. Your religious effervescenct Taliban fanboying will win no favors with them.

.
Pakistan must be equal in economic, political and social terms for such union,as for Afghanistan a union would be suicide rn it will be worse drag than what Bangladesh was in the 60s and early 70s no thanks and also those Soviet Republics and Turkey are much more Secular in orientation than us

Oh my God, why are you speaking so much sense? You're not even Pakistani yet such succint words of wisdom.

I am all for a union with Afghanistan but its has to be done smartly we need Afghanistan to be fully a vassal state we would need China Turkey Russia Iran economically stabilise the country We need our frontiers to be sealed from extremists and to bring mass development works for down the road union to work

Not what our founding fathers envisioned it. It was meant to be a safe haven for Muslims of subcontinent, free from Hindu hegemony. Much like Israel is a haven for Jews without being religious per se. It's the Mullahs who hijacked it and made religion the raison d etre of the state.
Read Iqbal or even Jinnah, association with religious leaders like Maududi is an example.
The same. When the 1979 revolution happened, Khomeini tried to give Islamic ceremonies equal importance to Iranian ceremonies. He failed miserably.
I am pretty sure, it can't work in the Pakistan for at least 50 years, Shah did his forceful secularisation for half a century, Pakistan got the opposite.
What I am proposing is something on the lines "Socialism with Chinese characteristics" - it did away the solidarity with Soviets and other communist with that BS socialistic internationalism going to dustbin.

Not enough differentiating from others, especially Arabs. Otherwise, there would not have been the "Al-Bakistani" phenomenon.

Pakistan is not homogenous enough.

.
I don't see the advantage of that.

What proxies did we have in Afghanistan? lol Name them.

So, the other day you were crying that Shia people are more loyal to Iran, now you have come to the conclusion that all of Pakistan support Taliban? Well, equipped with your logic, since they are loyal to us, we won't allow them to support Taliban. lol Seriously man, get a life. I know that there are nuts like you in Pakistan, but not everyone is like you.

And yes, your favorite Taliban did kill more than 5,000 Hazaras due to the very same mentality you have.

Most Pakistanis have favorable views of the Taliban government, esp in relation to current Kabul one. It is just fact, you can ask around and you will understand.

Again, I am not going to entertain your Iranian propaganda against Arabs, Afghans, and Pakistanis Turks.

Let's get back to Palestine.

Pakistan is not homogenous enough.
Consider Lebanon for example. A small country that is far from homogeneous. It has been a playground for regional powers since God knows when. It has been influenced by different countries. Yet, all Lebanese nationals have a sense of unity and national identity when you talk to them.

They know that they were Phoenicians. They say that they were one of the first nations who started ship building. They believe that the first true alphabet was the Phoenician alphabet. They know that they are different from Syrians.

I doubt a guy in Karachi would be willing to go to the Afghan Consulate to get a immigration visa to Afghanistan if the Taliban takes over the only sane reason a Pakistani would support the Taliban is Afghanistan is a vassal with no hope on its future a playground for world and regional powers a country worse than even Sub Saharan Africa point is the Taliban are the only good guys for strategic purposes rest their ideology is pure horseshit and bat shit crazy even @Mangus Ortus Novem would agree

Yugoslavia fell when socialism fell, Pakistan and Islam have a similar relationship. Lebanon may have religious diversity but they're all Arabs (less or more) - Pakistan have ethnic diversity, any kind of ethnic nationalism is bound to be exclusive to others and integrating ethnic nationalism is like integrating Arab-Persian-Turk into one ethnic history - possible but highly difficult to disentangle from Islam.
