WHERE IS OUR YELLOW RIBBON

Guys, the ideas you presented above are practical and when implemented will prove beneficial to the cause over a longer period.
What i was suggesting is that here in UK, ( Most will agree) collecting a few thousand pounds is no big deal.
£ 1000 transfers into well over Rs. 1,00000. Initially, if we send this money to Xeric in Pakistan and it gets distributed even amongst a few affected families, without the photo flash and all, it will set the ball rolling, give motivation and above all let at least some know that we may be living far away but this tragedy is very close to our hearts. !!

I admire your passion. But a one off, adhoc is just that. Do something that will live on for 20 years 30 years plus.

. .
so whats the verdict? how should we proceed now?

. .
here is another suggestion...
i want to launch a dedicated website for the victims of 7 th april siachen disaster
.. which will serve as an online memorial and information pool..
and within the website we can add a donation button for the victims families..

suggestions please?

.
I think that's an appreciable initiative, right now, besides the pension. A disabled soldier's family receives only PKR 800 as disability benefits.
I think PKR 800 is not enough for a family .............

.
Is this money going to be directly handed over to the families, or to some other third party?
