Just to correct you here. Bravery was always there (read up on last stands of Rajput). India was only overun when we not united. United Indian empires have long tradition of successfully defending against Greeks, Scythians, Huns, Arabs, Afghans etc.

Similar influence is on hindus as well. Culture is quite different to religion. Indian hindu and muslims are culturally same/similar with same moral values: how we treat our families, our parents and opposite sex.

The influence on Hindus hasn't been to the same extent. For example, you guys still write in Sanskrit.

A practising Muslim's moral values will be different to that of a Hindustani Hindu. Only casuals will have similar moral values.
