In the other thread you asked for the references and when provided you have started moaning again, without even reviewing.

Other thread was closed due to religious discussion reason, and you are moaning here like a tantrum infested child yet the discussion here is on the shape of earth!

I agree with you but the hindutva extremism has taken a front seat in your county and I don't see any meaningful opposition by a reasonably large chunk of the Hindu majority. The process reached its culmination in 2014 when the vast majority of Indian elected Modi as the PM knowing very well what he did in Gujarat, in fact, that was one of the reason the Hindu majority voted for him. And despite bad performance on many fronts, he got re-elected by the Hindus with even more votes notwithstanding the increase in hatred against other religions especially Islam & Muslims i.e. mob lynching, open rape and murder threats by BJP leaders, etc. That shows the mindset of the vast majority of the Hindus in your country. And as far as revoking of article 370 and 35A is concerned, I find congress of be equal partners of Modi and elements like Barkha Dutt who tries to fool people with her deceptive fake liberalism are openly supporting Modi govt. I’m writing this to provide a much needed clarity
People like you are appreciable but constitute an insignificant minority. Insignificant due to your very low numbers and lack of courage. As we have not seen any large scale demonstrations by Congress or any other major group against these actions taken by the Modi govt.
Baseline, your country is a democracy and hence this decision represents are overwhelming majority and hence the Hindutvaism.

I will pick from the last part where you wrote we are a democracy. Yes, on paper we are world's largest democracy. But it's not a complete success. In this democratic political system, if you notice the individual parties are hardly democratic. They follow a quasi-democratic system where the party leader rules the party with a strict authoritarian way. Indians secretly still are prisoner of the colonial system of governance if we carefully watch how individual parties are run.
Secondly, in 2014 people did not vote for a man who was accused of killing Muslims of Gujarat. The anti-incumbency factor played a major role where people were fed up with a government whose boat was rocked by a series of scams (2G, coal and Commonwealth games) and a party that was run in the most undemocratic way among all. While Congress, since the days of Nehru made it sure that only the Gandhis will chair the party presidentship was digging a grave of his own. There were no debate among the old party stalwarts regarding crucial national and international matters, different fringes were busy in backstabbing each other. And BJP was silently concreting its foundation along the country picking up leaders like Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Manohar Parikkar etc. Note, none of these three were hardcore Hindutvawadis. They were calm, composed and pretty moderate in their political approach, last bastion holders of the Vajpayee era.

Lastly, BJP's rise since 2014 has been accompanied with a silent communication revolution in India. Every one has access to almost free internet and cheap android phone. It has become a national addiction. The problem is when the mass is largely modestly literate and not keen to read or verify the authenticity of information, this kind of situation represents perfect opportunity to spread false information. People now believe that Nehru and Gandhi were womanizers, Nehrus were Muslim, so was Firoz Gandhi, Taj Mahal was a Shiva temple and many shits like these. No one cares to read. They just love the astonishment of revealation of a huge secret that Congress and other secular liberal brigrade kept hidden so far.

This internet propaganda mechanism has successfully placed the more pressing issues like economic slowdown, pathetic state of heavy and medium industries and one after another, disastrous policies like privatization of profit making organizations like NTPC under carpet. The opposition is practically non existing but only hope I have is, BJP has a habit of shooting its own foot. If it does not correct its course now, realize where it is taking the country in next ten years it will fail. But it will be too late then.
