UP: Muslim Families Put up ‘For Sale’ Signs Outside Homes in Shamli, Some Flee, Citing Police Brutal

Like I said I don't have empathy for these people.

Yes, you just like to do cost-benefit analysis before thinking of empathizing or helping poor or oppressed people.

Personally speaking I think these NGOs like Keto are a big scam. Anyone can get a sad looking picture from the internet and fool people to donate.

One of the founders of Ketto is the actor Kunal Kapoor. I quote his Wikipedia page :
He co-founded Asia's largest crowdfunding platform called Ketto, which raises money for social and individual causes. To date, the platform has raised close to one billion rupees

Is he doing a big scam ?

As for you, you just love to cry fake tears to boost your Leftist liberal credentials

So how do you decide if someone's concerns for the oppressed are genuine ?

This is not your Sonia Mata ki Sarkaar where terrorist get internet access to coordinate attacks and stone pelting

What about the Sangh's WhatsApp groups and the entire IT Cell that co-ordinates virtual and possibly physical lynching campaigns ?

where terrorist get photo ops with the PM and when some are gunned down Sonia Mata cries.

Yasin Malik has long distanced himself from armed opposition. He seems to desire a peaceful settlement to the Kashmir dispute. He should look at alternate solutions such as the one I have presented in the magazine section. In fact the Establishments of India and Pakistan should look at it and end this silly dispute.

There is a MyGov section in PMO India website. Why don't you present your ideas there instead of here on PDF

Who says actors can't be scamsters

All in good time. And PDF has a wider reach but if some government person joins PDF that will be good too.

In the meanwhile @AfrazulMandal has said that since he knows Umar Khalid he will pass along to Umar my request for him to join PDF.

Seems legit.

1. Why should anyone be allowed to make money out of healthcare which is something every citizen should have free access to ?

3. Education - should be free and is a human right.

4. Communications- should be free and is a human right.
Nothing is free, someone always pays.

Doctors ki education bhi free honi chahiye kya ? Doctoron ko sikhane waaley voh moti moti kitaben bhi free ? Unke professors bhi free me sikhayenge kya unko ?

Kya absurd baatein kartey ho yaar !

We don't have an unlimited supply of light sweet crude or any other resource which can be milked for reasonably cheap, sold on the world market, and profits just given away to every citizen. We are also 1.4 billion or something people !

For sake of argument, though, let us assume all healthcare and really high education is made free, if you get sick, you get free treatment and get back well soon, and anyone can enroll in any higher studies, such as studying to become a doctor.

There are still going to only be a select few who succeed and pass those courses with a suitable grade and become a doctor or a rocket scientist or whatever.

Humans are not equal, you can't force everyone to be that way without discarding meritocracy, and even your utopian system/society will fall apart if all med students are given a pass grade despite clearly not being competent enough.

I know, this is an oversimplified explanation but then all nuance seems lost on you when you talk about these very big issues.

We must stick with what we have for now, a mostly free market system but of course there is room for improvement. Crony capitalism, big business greed (but then they're also essentially working for their share/stakeholders and their job is to be profitable), too much political influence.

School education is basically free, quotas are a thing, socialist programs to help the weaker sections of society are a thing (it's what won Modi the kursi again, not some anti Pakistan/Muslim anything)

Har bandey ki har problem fokat mein solve karne ka paisa hai hi nahi is desh me BC.. and that's what it all basically comes down to.

The world is not a perfect place, it was never supposed to be perfect. It's a school where souls come to learn lessons and live out their karma, right ? :P

Instead of directly reaching the PMO you are looking at reach on an online forum where chances of your voice being heard by govt is close to zero.

No surprises there. One Islamic seperatist knowing another Islamic seperatist

The Cuban healthcare and medical education is free and is one of the most successful such systems in the world. Cuban medical personnel are very respected.

India has a large agriculture-capable land area and most of India's workforce works in this sector. India could have potentially become the largest agriculture exporter of the world. Even now with modern and scientific methods like Urban Farming, Vertical Farming and application of collective farming India can having a lot of national earning.

Then I believe there is large amount of mineral ores.

Then there is the two-decade-old ITES sector.

There are still going to only be a select few who succeed and pass those courses with a suitable grade and become a doctor or a rocket scientist or whatever.

Why is the 60-year-old huge and much resourced ISRO ( Indian Space Research Organization ) not able to achieve human spaceflight in year 2020 while the 18-year-old private company SpaceX has plans for Mars manned mission and has achieved recently the world's first privately-launched human trip to the International Space Station ?

Even China which had practically abandoned its space travel plans in the 1970s had a resurgence of its human spaceflight in 2003 ( 17 years ago ) and has plans for a permanent space station in 2022 ( which is when ISRO has declared for its first human spaceflight ).

Humans are not equal

I am not trumpeting my own capabilities here but yes, the typical graduate out of some IIM or Lovely Professional University is not equal to me.

We must stick with what we have for now, a mostly free market system but of course there is room for improvement.

What do you say about tragedies like that train-traveling migrant woman who died of hunger in that Bihar railway station recently, while no stray dog goes hungry in the country ?

Crony capitalism

Sorry but "Crony capitalism" is just a buzz word to hide the ill effects of capitalism.

School education is basically free

Let's talk about Lovely Professional University. Will it provide "higher education" for free ?

quotas are a thing

But there are people still who are against Quotas.

it's what won Modi the kursi again, not some anti Pakistan/Muslim anything

But that is why most of the urban middle class voted him for.

Har bandey ki har problem fokat mein solve karne ka paisa hai hi nahi is desh me BC.. and that's what it all basically comes down to.

The Indian military is the second largest importer of armaments in the world.

The world is not a perfect place, it was never supposed to be perfect. It's a school where souls come to learn lessons and live out their karma, right ? :P

That is quite a defeatist and fatalistic statement.

Revolutionary change is as easy as every person seeing the need for change and supporting those who have ideas to carry out the changes.

What about AIMMS and Indian doctors ? Healthcare is already subsidized here for the poor.

How has collective farming worked out for the DPRK ?

What about the Holodmor in the Ukraine, you know what caused it ?

You and your ridiculous commie ideas, srsly man

We've made great strides in ISRO since it's inception. India obviously lack both the wealth and the scientific know how, you can't seriously compare India to the Achievements of the Americans. The Chinese have a lot more money in their coffers too.

Sorry but "Crony capitalism" is just a buzz word to hide the ill effects of capitalism.
capitalism, despite the problems > socialism

not worth going into this old debate.

Let's talk about Lovely Professional University. Will it provide "higher education" for free ?
No, but you can get into good institutes, not talking about lovely professional etc here, on merit, by excelling in school and by way of scholarships.

But there are people still who are against Quotas.
Yes, so ? I believe they have their place and are needed but there's a lot of rampant misuse, and they can be just pure unfair to others who get passed on despite deserving to get into those schools.

But that is why most of the urban middle class voted him for.
They liked the manifesto. Me, personally, am a single issue voter basically.. Kashmir. Which is why he got my vote these past 2 times, and finally delivered in his second term. Also had enough of the La Famiglia..

Congress were promising to reduce troop numbers and allow the separatists to have a free run/reign in Kashmir. Who were they trying to appease with that BS ? Raul baba, meanwhile kept on making anti India statements that were deemed good enough by the DG ISPR to retweet and use against us ! dushmano ko protsahan mila pappu ki bakwaas se, hadd hoti hai yaar !

and it's wrong to say the middle class voted just based on this so called hatred of muslims, not true. Economic policy pe vote dia tha, but yes, wahan BJP waley thoda lad khada gaye hain.

The Indian military is the second largest importer of armaments in the world.
Yes, that needs to change, but we do what we have to do till domestic production and capabilities catch up to meet the forces' requirements. This is a tough neighbourhood, as Trump would say. New LCA order was pleasant news to my ears, it's a start.

Military acquisitions are also tools of diplomacy, Russian maal, Amriki maal kharido aur unko bhi thoda khush rakhna padta hai. We are a growing regional power, bana ke rakhni padegi super waalon se. Ki Karan ?

That is quite a defeat and fatalist statement.

Revolutionary change is as easy as every person seeing the need for change and supporting those who have ideas to carry out the changes.
No, it's the truth. You don't have to believe in our Dharmic hokus pokus beliefs but the world is not a perfect place.

Making everyone equally miserable by tyrannical methods of wealth redistribution is no solution to our woes.

@The_Showstopper
Why did you meem killed the Bhim in jaunpur?
Obviously not for these reasons...

Naah... Only whatsapp forwards can be considered credible obviously from Hindus Sena, Jhungur Sena, Hindu Jagruti manch etc...:enjoy:

What about AIMMS and Indian doctors ? Healthcare is already subsidized here for the poor.

What about actually existing cases like this Ketto appeal :

2020-06-12-082650_1366x768_scrot-png.641137

Should this boy be allowed to die just because he is poor ? Why is Ketto doing the job that the government should be doing ?

How has collective farming worked out for the DPRK ?

DPRK has less arable land. It is doing what it can.

What about the Holodmor in the Ukraine, you know what caused it ?

No, I don't know much about it apart from seeing some pics.

You and your ridiculous commie ideas, srsly man

Even in the five Anglo countries, in 2011 there was the Occupy movement that called for radical change in those countries' capitalist structure ( the 99 percent people against the 1 percent rich ones ).

Even in the Nordic countries the government has some socialistic implementation.

Even in Pakistan Imran Khan spoke of implementing a Madinah-style welfare state.

It is only in India that commie ideas find hate. I will ask you to not listen to right-wing pseudo-intellectuals like Subramanian Swamy, Ashoke Pandit ( with his diatribes against the "Urban Naxals" ), "Sadhguru" Jaggi Vasudev etc.

We've made great strides in ISRO since it's inception. India obviously lack both the wealth and the scientific know how

Let me explain a bit of how I understand this in simple terms.

Firstly, ISRO has focused all the time on satellites when it should have focused on human spaceflight from the very start. Even so, in the past whenever ISRO had to launch a satellite that weighed more than four tons it contracted the launch to the French private company Arianespace for launch on its Ariane 5 launcher rocket. Arianespace was established in 1980, about two decades after the huge, government operated ISRO.

OK, that was in the past.

Currently ISRO's most capable launch rocket, the GSLV Mark III, can carry 10 tons to Low Earth Orbit which is where the International Space Station is orbiting ( at 400 kms altitude ). The GSLV Mark III was the system used for the Chandrayaan 2 mission. This launcher can carry significantly less capacity payload than the recent SpaceX Falcon 9 FT - which is 22.8 tons. And the FT is a reusable launcher compared to GSLV Mark III which means that the FT costs 50 million dollars per launch compared to GSLV Mark III's 51 million dollars. The GSLV being not reusable ( in technical terms, expendable ) means that the launcher is destroyed on every launch whereas the Falcon 9 FT can be reused a few times more. Had ISRO designed the Falcon 9 FT the per-launch cost would have been even less than SpaceX's 50 million which is because of higher human and material cost in USA. Also, the engine design of GSLV Mark III is more complex than the Falcon 9 FT - a three-stage solid-liquid mixed design with multiple liquid types of the former compared to the two-stage liquid design of the latter, though the former is supposed to have an upgrade to a total liquid design - the same LOX / RP1 engines that the SpaceX Falcon 9 FT has currently.

The GSLV Mark III is the launcher that is supposed to carry the first Indian space travelers in 2022. I doubt this date will be met.

What ISRO should have done is tie up with the Dutch-origin international project Mars One whose intention was to allow a few people ( common civilians ) to begin a staged one-way trip to Mars by the mid 2030s. That project is sadly now closed. Some say it was a scam but you should listen to these interviews of the shortlisted people. There is a very nice interview at the top of the page of a supposedly respectable professor. The three speakers talk about how to practically take care of the many issues of living on Mars.

Then there is the American private company Bigelow Aerospace started by a real estate rich man. This company makes inflatable space habitats. I believe some of the models have already been tested in space.

I don't understand when private Indian very rich companies have been making engines and other components for ISRO what stops them from making complete space systems. For example, Godrej & Boyce makes the Vikas engine for ISRO's GSLV Mark III.

What has happened to the much announced Ambani Aerospace ?

If all it took was money and dozens of PhDs and hundreds of engineers to achieve human space flight by a country, India has lots of it, privately and with the government. So what is lacking ? In simple words it is lack of ambition and intellectual investment.

you can't seriously compare India to the Achievements of the Americans.

I am talking about a private American company with limited financial resources, not the government organization NASA.

Yes, SpaceX did have the help of some former NASA scientists but what stopped ISROs scientists and engineers to not learn from decades of rocket-sending experience of ISRO ?

The Chinese have a lot more money in their coffers too.

The Chinese have ambition too. When the Americans blocked their entry to the International Space Station they planned their own space station and towards this goal some years ago they had sent up a space laboratory module which saw a few human visits too.

capitalism, despite the problems > socialism

not worth going into this old debate.

India is the world's most extreme capitalist system with lip service paid to socialistic measures ( like the subsidized PDS system ). Tell me how is India's capitalist system greater than a truly socialist system.

No, but you can get into good institutes, not talking about lovely professional etc here, on merit, by excelling in school and by way of scholarships.

There are 200,000+ computer science graduates flooding out of India's many many "good" and otherwise computer courses every year yet there is not a single Indian-designed operating system and microprocessor. Why ? If a civil engineering architect is expected to be able to design a house or office space or a public space why can't a computer science graduate be expected to design those two things ?

Congress were promising to reduce troop numbers and allow the separatists to have a free run/reign in Kashmir. Who were they trying to appease with that BS ? Raul baba, meanwhile kept on making anti India statements that were deemed good enough by the DG ISPR to retweet and use against us ! dushmano ko protsahan mila pappu ki bakwaas se, hadd hoti hai yaar !

Tell me, why should India be in a fight with Pakistan and China ? In the forum's magazine section please read my solution for peace with Pakistan over the Kashmir issue and generally.

and it's wrong to say the middle class voted just based on this so called hatred of muslims, not true. Economic policy pe vote dia tha

How many of the IT / ITES middle-class types who voted for Modi ever think of the 300,000+ farmers who committed suicide in India just between 1995 and 2015 ? So many more before that and after that.

This is a tough neighbourhood, as Trump would say.

Get friendly with Pakistan and China. Oppose the imperialism of NATO.

Making everyone equally miserable by tyrannical methods of wealth redistribution is no solution to our woes.

Were Libyans miserable ?

@dharmi you are a newbie in this forum. One thing you should know about our friend @jamahir is that he is a hard core commie. He believes in some utopia which can never be achieved. Like all commies he cries fake tears for the poor

I have had many debates with him but you can't logically argue with a person who in all seriousness believes that Libya, Cuba and Venezuela are the greatest countries in the world. You point out the hypocrisies of the left he will ignore them like an ostrich with its head in the sand.

Now when he starts talking his socialist BS I simply say "Capitalism is good, Money is God"

My suggestion - take his posts like a joke by a stand up comedian

Should this boy be allowed to die just because he is poor ? Why is Ketto doing the job that the government should be doing ?
stop falling for these scams pls.

thanks, I've flown over a few times earlier though :P

but I want to help him, they're too entrenched, quicksand might soon consume them

I demand that man be evacuated from the pottyhole quicksand of the communist/socialist gutter and returned to bharat mata.. ise seedhey de-radicalization programs me daalo, the taxpayers are happy to pay his way through !
