Since that thread is blocked ,I have to reply that one last post in here.
Of Course you put forward some valid points .
Then you should ask yourselves .Pakistan and their citizens was also in western side during last 7 decades and witnessed the transformation of India from one state to another .

Now you should ask yourselves ,why would we reject the principles of our founding father ?
What was the motivation ?How could we get away from the ideas and values of Gandhi?

Republic of India was founded on the basis of moral values of Gandhi .We tried for better nation and world through non violent and pacifist way .But what we got in return from this world?More insecurity and threats .
Things began to roll just after independence and that being just based on a rumour.

Then Nehru goes for Panchaseel and what we got in return?
So all I can say is that this circumstances made us what we are now.

So all I can say is that this circumstances made us what we are now.

I am a follower or "baith" of a Sufi lineage, and there is a nice quote my spiritual head(whom we might term as a peer or guru) said: "I am a worshipper of en entity that is not bound by circumstances, who created me to not care for circumstances and do what is right".
I do my best to live up to that, I am sure there are many in India who do the same.

Self righteous is bad. Nations are composed of all sorts of people; true for ANY nation.. but if those that see a wrong dont speak up out of fear of backlash or popularity, that is when it all goes the way of places like Germany or Yugoslavia or Cambodia and so on.
