Exactly. :)

But that wont take aways the ancestral aspect rite? Suppose they choose Islam, it wont take away the hindu roots. Rite ?

Absolutely!

Our school captain, my boyhood hero, was the grandson of the Nawab of Chhatri, and proud of his Rajput ancestry. So much so that sometime soon after school, he abandoned the 'Khan' in his name and used only the rest of it, saying he didn't want to be thought to be Pathan.

Not that tough to comprehend, is it ?

Before Islam, Those areas were either Hindus or Zoroastrian.

Also, My ancestry long ago had Hybrid of Jewish and Hindu.

How do you look like then ?

Pakistani.

You forgot the other little bits.

On second thoughts, let people find out for themselves. Why should they not go through the same sordid experiences that the rest of us did?

Is there 'zh' letter in tamil as in malyalam ?

Which is the correct term ---- Tamil or Tamizh ???

Heh, heh.

The sound in Malayalam is taken directly from the sound in Tamizh; Malayalam only separated out a few generations ago.

It's for solidarity.

What does race, language or ethnicity matter when in the end we are all the same?

True, true. Let's leave it at that.

Although it does smart a bit when you say we are all the same. I would have hoped....but shove that. True, true.

Now that the trolling has gone down, I can express my honest feelings. Before that I was caught in the web.

No that letter not in malayalam. The letter la/il can pronounced in three ways in tamil, first la/il should be pronounced by touching behind incisors ,second la/il in middle of soft palate , third one at hind of soft palate. Tamizh pronunciation falls in third category no language in world having that letter that the pride of tamizh.

Yup, zh is here in Tamil. Right way to say it is Tamizh. Though that zh sounds like a moderately hard "la". Curl both sides of your tongue, bring it up, but dont touch the palette. Now make a sound, that is zh.

To quote the Almighty and creator of the universe:

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).
